"Two things: one we're not getting married on Saturday and two stop panicking and go get me some food," I pushed him.

"I am a doctor as well so I know that there is still a possibility that  the cancer has not spread. The reason why I asked you if you wanted to break up is because of that," I pointed to the poster on the wall.

My index finger pointed to a diaper advertisement with a baby on it.

"Can you be with a woman who cannot give you a child?" Tears started to flood my eyes because I've realized what I just said. My chance of having a child of my own has gotten very slim.

Daniel was in shock. He stood as frozen as ice. Finally he melted and comforted me.

"It's fine. We don't know for sure. I am not leaving you. I'm going to go get you some food. I'll be back soon. I'll get your favourite vanilla shake with some pancakes," he said.

I nodded and Daniel left.

He stood outside of my hospital room crying. He then decided to call his mother.

"Mom, send me the best gynaecologist in the world. I need that person here in Los Angeles by tomorrow," he said.

He hung up the call.

He got into his car and went  away from the hospital. He returned to the hospital after an hour.

"I've got you a vanilla shake and blueberry pancakes," he said.

He sat on the chair beside my bed.

He placed the straw in the cup and fed the vanilla shake to me. I drank half of it and then stopped.

"Have you eaten since morning?" I asked.

"Doesn't matter. Here, eat the pancakes next," he said.

"Stop. I won't eat unless you drink the rest of this vanilla shake. I'm not playing so drink it," I gave him a determined stare.

I pushed the straw into his mouth and he sucked up the shake. He drank until the cup was empty.

He's so obedient.

"Now eat some pancakes. I know blueberry is your favourite," I pushed the fork into his mouth.

"Remember the first time we met you wanted me to feed you. I'm feeding you now so be grateful," I shyly frowned.

Daniel reached for my cheeks. "You are so cute when you are upset."

"I know," I replied with a big smile.

Daniel started staring at me. "I love your smile. In fact I love anything that involves you. You are my everything and so to answer your question from before, no we are not breaking up. And as it relates to a child, you are more than enough for me."

I mumbled, "Took you long enough to say that."

He got up off the chair and sat on the bed beside me. He came in for a kiss.

"I'm sorry for being so slow. You'll have to put up with me in the future," he said with a smirk. He rubbed down my legs.

I chuckled.

"Dang girl, have I ever told you that you got nice ass and nice breasts," he exaggerated.

"Thank you but you're barking up the wrong tree right now so beat it."

"Okay, okay. I'll stop. Eat now. Here is the pancakes. Make sure you full up for when the doctor gets back."

"You're so troublesome," he said.

"Yeah, I know," I replied.

As I ate the last piece of pancake the doctor came in.

"Miss Lea, I've got the ultrasound and pelvic exam ready. Please come," the doctor said.

We went to the ultrasound room first. The sonographer placed the ultrasound gel on my lower stomach and moved the transducer around my pelvic area.

I was laying down for about ten minutes until the red short haired lady said, "All done."

I was watching the monitor the entire time. It was not that bad.

I think that surgery may be able to get rid of the cancer.

Next we went to do the pelvic exam. I went inside and took off my underwear. Daniel was waiting outside. It was uncomfortable but I got through it. I finished the pelvic exam and went back to the room.

"Are you nervous?" Daniel asked.

I nodded no.

I held Daniel's hand and looked into his eyes.

"Everything happens for a reason. Have a little faith. We're in this together. So give me a smile," I said.

Daniel gave me a wide smile from ear to ear.

"I trust you," he said.

"I trust you too," I replied.
