With one day left until the wedding, Mew's and Gulf's nerves were running high. Mew's more so than Gulf's. Ever since Mew's awful dream, he couldn't shake the thought that Art would actually make an appearance at their wedding.
Mew and Gulf were currently at their rehearsal dinner with their parents, the pastor, and Del. The boys went over how the ceremony, reception, and speeches would go down. They were to be officially wed outside and their first dance in front of their beautiful flower arch, then go inside with all the guests to eat, dance, and enjoy themselves.
They finished going over rehearsal around 7:00pm, and everyone went their separate ways. Gulf looked over at Mew, while on the way back to their house, with a puzzling expression.
Gulf could tell that Mew was nervous all week, and since Mew asked Gulf to be his boyfriend yesterday, the younger boy assumed this to be the cause of Mew's anxiety. So, understandably, Mew's continued nervousness confused him. Maybe it was the wedding tomorrow. Or maybe it was the fact that they had to film it to promote the series. Or maybe Mew was regretting ever getting into this.
Curiosity threatening to eat him alive, Gulf reached over, placing his hand over his boyfriend's on the gear shift, "P'Mew, what's bothering you?"
Mew glanced over at his boyfriend, giving a weak smile, "I'm just a little nervous about the wedding." He paused for a minute before speaking again, "Can I ask you something?"
Gulf squeezed Mew's hand, "Yeah, of course."
Mew took a deep breath and gulped, "I just want to know who all you invited."
Gulf was a bit shocked at Mew's request, "Oh, um, I invited my parents, my sister, Del, Mild, and a high school friend. Why'd you ask?"
Mew shook his head and too another deep breath, "I just had a bad dream about it a few days ago. It was stupid."
Gulf furrowed his eyebrows, pouting a little as well, "A bad dream about the wedding?"
Mew nodded, "Yeah, it's nothing, though. There was just an unexpected guest, but I guess I was worrying about nothing." Mew's smile was more believable this time.
Mew parked his car in their driveway and stepped out of the vehicle to walk over to Gulf's side. Mew opened the door for Gulf, letting the younger boy get out before pushing the door shut. They walked into their house hand in hand, and bedroom to change into something more comfortable.
The boyfriends showered and changed into their matching red and white pajamas. They then went back downstairs, agreeing to have an in-home date night. Gulf went to their teacher room while Mew went to the kitchen to prepare some snacks.
Gulf grabbed a big, fluffy blanket, picked a movie, and dimmed the lights when Mew walked in, carrying a huge bowl of popcorn, a bag of Gulf's favorite chocolates, and two big bottles of water. Gulf smiled at the boy, pulling the blanket up, to share the reclining love seat with his boyfriend.
Nearly two hours later, the credits were rolling and Gulf was barely able to keep his eyes open, extremely comfortable snuggled up to Mew. The older boy was also playing with Gulf's hair, which didn't encourage his consciousness in the slightest.
Gulf looked up to his boyfriend with a pout, "Daddy, I'm tired."
Mew chuckled and kissed the boy's head, "Okay Kana, let me take these dishes to the kitchen and I'll carry you to bed, yeah?"
Gulf hummed and nodded, pushing himself away from Mew, so the older boy could get up.
Mew quickly rushed the dishes to the kitchen and returned to his boyfriend as promised. When he returned, Mew witnessed Gulf wrapped in the fluffy blank and asleep. God, he was adorable.
Mew carefully carried Gulf up the stairs to their bedroom. The older boy snuggled up behind Gulf, closing his eyes, and letting his mind run free, trying to fall asleep. Something in his gut was churning, preventing him from getting much needed sleep before their wedding day.
He could feel that something was wrong. He just knew it.
Eventually convincing himself that nothing was wrong, Mew was able to fall asleep.
But he knew his gut was never wrong.
Never.
