I walked downstairs to answer the door. I knew who is was. Savanna and Bently waited as I opened the door. However, Bently seemed more patient than Savanna who was ready for some un-thought words.
"Gosh! Who takes that long to answer the door! Here, take these bags and Bently. And there are plenty more bags in the car. Mother! How good to see you again! We will have Kate's room, I presume?"
"No, actually you will have the two guest rooms upstairs. Kate and I will keep our rooms."
"But, wouldn't it make sense for Bently and I to have the big bedroom with the bathroom added on?"
"You will have a bathroom all to yourself in the other two rooms. Their joined, you know. That's all I want to hear of it."
"Ugh!" Savanna groaned but reluctantly followed my mother upstairs. I followed with Bently in my arms and the bags that Savanna hadn't offered to help with.
After the car was unloaded and our two guests left to themselves, my mother offered me time to be by myself. I quickly took up on her offer and headed to the library to get caught up on some school and to take advantage of peace and quiet, since I certainly wouldn't have it at home.
I stayed for several hours, till my phone beeped with texts from Savanna asking when I was coming to make dinner and give Bently his bath. I loaded up my books and headed home. Only a few more weeks till Willow's wedding. I would be gone for 3 whole weeks. Three weeks free of Savanna's complaining, work, and school.
As soon as I walked through the door Bently was right at my heels. He was so cute, he had to be my favorite out of my niece and nephew clan. He really understoof me and wasn't a spoiler little brat like half of my family. I really have no idea how to cook, so I grabbed a couple pizza's from the freezer. I knew I would get a lecture later from Savanna about "processed foods and how dangerous they were." But I didn't care. I didn't wan't to experiment on Hamburger Helper again.
The weeks passed slowly and I finally had my dress for Willow's wedding. It was silky on the top, a sleeveless light navy blue, and the bottom half all sparkly and glittery. I was in love with it! I really couldn't wait to wear it for the first time. It hit only about 2 inches above the knee, so perfect for my ugly legs. Finally the day dawned that I could leave. I got up way earlier than I had to, because I wanted to leave before Savanna could give me a lecture on how expensive London would be, how to cope without family for 3 weeks and whatever else she could find a reason to make our lives a living hell.
I didn't want to be a brat, but we had done everything we could for her and she treated us like crap. We invited her (well, she invited herself, but we were happy to help) into our home, taken care of them and cared for Bently for several weeks without a complaint. Not that I ever dared to let a little peep escape my lips.
I arrived at the airport and bought some coffee and read up on the latest One Direction news. I was a huge fan, and my sister and I were HUGE Directioners!
The flight soon arrived and I landed London. I got a cab quickly and hurried into my hotel that I had booked, trying to fight the rain. I couldn't wait to do some sightseeing. I had always wanted to go to England, and now I had the chance! I was so tired I just fell right onto the bed and relaxed for a few minuted before unpacking my bags and ordering room service. The wedding would be in just a few days, so tomorrow I would spend the day with Willow finishing wedding plans and fighting jet lag.
After a quiet evening by myself, I fell into a deep sleep.
I was finally in London.
