Eva, can we go home now? My feet hurt and I’m tired.” They were only a block away. “I agree, we should head home. It’s getting dark out.” They both walked down the street and realized that there was a crowd around the apartment building. “Uh, what’s going on?” They ran to the crowd and what people said made Jandel nauseous. He pushed through people and crawled under people. Eva stood back and knew what happened. She heard people saying “Poor dog” and little kids whispering to their parents “Is the doggy gonna be ok?”. Eva sighed and looked at the sky. “Who could have done this?” Then she realized that someone was looking out the window from Jandel’s apartment. And it was someone familiar.

“Oh crap. I didn’t think this through. But at least I’m getting paid.” Hailey looked out the window and stared at the crowd surrounding the dog. But she realized that someone was holding the dog. “WHY RICHARD?! WHY NOT ME? I WILL FIND OUT WHO DID THIS TO YOU!” Jandel held Richard tightly. Tears ran down his cheeks and dog blood was all over his sweater. Eva kept staring at the person in the window. “You little bitch.” Eva finally realized who it was then ran into the building. The lobby was full of cops, but she didn’t care. She ran up the stairs as quickly as she could.

“Geez, why is that kid crying? Wait a minute, is that the dude I have to kill?” Hailey walked over to the couch and sat. “Hmm, lemme text this guy and tell him that the target is here.” Hailey texted Calypso. But before she could finish the message, Eva busted through the door. “What are you doing here, Hailey?” She yelled so loud, Jandel heard it. “Something must be wrong.” He set Richard down and rubbed his stomach one last time. After that, he ran upstairs and saw Hailey holding Eva by the neck.

At first, Jandel didn’t know what to do. But then he grabbed the pistol from his backpack that was sitting by the door. “Now you let her go and tell me why my dog is in hell right now.” Richard wasn’t an angel. Well, to random people on bikes and mailmen, he was a demon. “Woah there, bucko. Drop the gun and I’ll drop the girl.” Jandel slowly set the gun on the ground and Hailey dropped Eva. As Eva gasped for air, Jandel noticed Hailey’s phone and launched at it. He grabbed it and Hailey stepped on his hand. “What do you think you’re doing, kid?” Jandel wiggled his hand from under Hailey’s combat boot. “Oh, I don’t know. What does it look like I’m doing, dumbass?” He put the phone in his pocket. Then Eva grabbed Hailey’s shirt and yanked it. She wrapped her arm around Hailey’s neck and squeezed.

“Now you’re gonna tell us why you’re here.” Hailey kept squirming and gasping. While the girls were fighting, Jandel was scrolling through the messages on the phone. “Eva, I know why she's here.” Eva released her arm from Hailey’s neck and once she Hailey hit the floor, Eva kicked her head. “Ok, I knocked her out. Why is she here?” “Some guy named Calypso wants me dead. I wonder if that’s the guy I saw at the fire.” They stared into each other's eyes then looked back at the phone. “Do you think you can track where this message came from?” Eva thought for a second. “I think I can. I’ll try.” They both nodded and looked back at Hailey. “Uh, what are we gonna do with her? I think I killed her.” “Relax, you didn’t kill her. I think. We’ll keep her here and try to get some info outta her.”

Calypso walked back and forth. “What am I gonna do? If I go down then Emily will go down too. I can’t let this happen. Not now. Not again.” He stopped walking and stared at the wall of firearms in front of him. “If I have to….then I will.”

“Oh god. What happened?” Hailey’s eyes opened and all she saw was darkness. “LET ME GO!” She wiggled back and forth but that didn’t do any good. “Oh, you’re awake. Look, I’m tired and I just wanna go to sleep. It’s eleven at night and this is weird. Can you tell me how you made the chip that made me go crazy? And I also wanna know who you’re working for. And if you tell me, I promise to take the blindfold off. And maybe give you a cookie.” Hailey stopped moving, then smiled. “You’ll never find out.” Then she got louder. “You’ll never find out. YOU’LL NEVER FIND OUT!” Then she giggled in a weird tone. “Ok. No cookie for the dumb dumb.” Hailey started squirming again and tried to eat the rope around her waist. “Do you seriously think that you can just chew that rope off? It ain’t a twizzler dumbass.” She kept chewing on it.

While Jandel “poked the bear”, Eva was close to tracking the number down. Hours have passed and all she did was type, type, type on Jandel’s laptop. Jandel was busy sleeping in a plastic purple princess chair. Little did he know that Hailey had a trick up her sleeve. There was a little drone hovering outside. The window was slightly open. The drone carefully flew into the apartment and flew behind Hailey. Eva heard a slight rip. She turned around and looked at Hailey. She had a creepy smile on her face. Eva sighed and turned her attention back to the laptop. “Hey Jandel, I’ve got a location!” Jandel fell out of the purple princess chair and limped over to Eva. “Oh sweet. *yawn* You wanna head over there now?” Another rip sound alerted them. They turned around and realized that Hailey was gone.

“Uh, where did no cookie girl go?” Jandel looked around the room while Eva took a picture of the map on her phone. Hailey was hiding behind the couch. “He’ll never find me.” Jandel turned his attention to the couch and slowly walked over to it. Once he made it, he slowly reached behind the couch and grabbed Hailey’s hair. “AH HA!” He yanked her by the hair and flipped her onto the floor. “MY HAIR!” Her grey, shiny hair was being pulled by a young, tired, and immature eighteen year old. “EVA, GRAB HER!” Eva rushed over and grabbed the broom next to the fridge. She ran over and wacked Hailey. “Geez, I said to grab her not hit her.” Eva dropped the broom and lifted Hailey. “We need to put her somewhere where she can’t escape. Where do you think we should put her Eva?” Eva didn’t say a word.

“Don’t you remember the fact that she threw your dog out the window?” “Uh, I’m trying to forget that, why are you asking me that?” Eva yanked Hailey from Jandel’s hands. “What are you doing?” Eva dragged Hailey’s body to the window. She lifted her body and opened the window. “Eva, I don’t think you should do that.” She didn’t listen. She didn’t care. She wanted revenge. “She killed your dog. She deserves this.” Jandel ran over to Eva. “Ok, you need to chill out.” Eva threw Hailey’s body out the window. “What have you done?”
