'Pure' - The Promised Neverland

{4} - Performance

{ - Ok, so this chapter is more of a filler chapter. So, i can rush the story on a bit.... and credits to the owner of the beautiful picture at the top.... that's all! -Author - }

Today was the day. The day when i was going to perform my little song that i had come up with a few days ago.

But, apart from that, I've noticed that the trio [ - Emma, Norman and Ray - ] has been acting strangely lately... They haven't been their bright selves, they had more secretive and depressing, to be honest it was really annoying but most of me was happy!

i guess that Emma and Norman found out huh? Well they would have sooner or later. All i simply did was push them on their way....

Anyways, i need to concentrate! I'm going to preform after dinner and i still haven't practiced! i walked carefully to the storage room where i usually practiced on the piano. After making sure that i wasn't followed by 'Mama' or any of the children, i unveiled the black beauty and sat down the rounded stool that was placed next to the piano. I flipped the cover that was hiding the precious black and white piano keys that were set out perfectly straight along the black piano.

After admiring the black and white keys for a minute or so, i placed my hands on the keys and started playing. But little did i know that someone was watching me playing....

After around 20 minutes of playing some songs that i made for fun, i got up off of the little stool that i had been sitting on and placed it back where i had found it and placed the white sheet that i had previously removed before and threw it back on top of the black piano. Or black beauty, which is the nickname i gave it. Making sure that i had covered all of the piano, i walked out the storage room and made sure that there wasn't anybody around. I walked quietly towards my room, but to my luck the dinner had ran before i got to my small yet comfy room. So i quickly but quietly changed my route and started to walk towards the dinning hall.

Once i made it to the dinning hall, i noticed the trio standing in the corner talking about something. Because there was a few of the children not here yet, so being my annoying self, i decided to go and see what they were talking about and maybe even get some more information that i could blackmail them with...

As i drew nearer to the three 3 brats, Ray seemed to notice and got Emma and Norman to end their conversation quickly. When i got close enough i sat down and asked what they were talking about. "Oh, nothing important Zina why'd you ask?" Emma said with a shaky voice and uncertainty in her eyes. I glared at Emma and then gave her a little smile, then i turned to look at Ray and whispered " come to your spot in the woods tonight. Oh and remember to bring your little friends along too~"

I quickly gave him a wide smile, got up and walked over to the dinner table to sit at my seat, while the other children slowly came in and found there places among the various tables.

{ - Hehe - Time skip time! - }

It was finally time to perform my song. I'm sooooo excited right now! The time is currently 7:45 and i get to perform my song in 5 minutes. I asked if 'Mama' could move the children to the old storage because it would be a hassle to move the piano to the dinning hall and i thought that the storage room would be big enough to fit all of the children in. So 'Mama' asked the children if they could follow her to a special room for a surprise, when all the children were gathered in the storage room, they were told to sit down and wait patiently for the surprise....

While I was playing my song I looked across the room to see the look on the children's faces....

When I got to Ray, I saw that he had a look of pure shock and to that, I smirked. After all, I was happy to see someone surprised by my playing. Wait was it the playing that they were surprised by? Or was it something else? Meh, I dont really care anyway. Seeing them vulnerable like that just makes me feel satisfied.

{ - Time skip - UwU - }

i was walking back towards my bedroom because 'Mama' had said it was time to sleep. So being the annoying self i am, i decided to go to my 'bedroom' and get some 'sleep.' Walking towards my intended location, i stopped at the closed door, waited for a few seconds and then went to gab the door handle. But i heard some familiar voices inside, the brat trio [ - Emma, Ray and Norman - ] but this time i could hear two new voices. i quickly found the owners of the two new voices to be Don and Gilda.
