Iv'e been here for a while, and I help the glee club so much with their songs I'm almost a member. I just can't commit to anything yet. Every week I go to Coach Ken to try and convince him to put me on the team. They weren't playing yet, they were only doing workouts and scrimmage to get in shape for the season. This means I still have time. Oh! Also puck, Fin, Matt, Brittany, Santana, and Quin joined. How ironic is that? Oh well, so I was walking through the hallways like usual when I was shoved into a locker by a football player.
" Move it Hulk! Or are you gleek now? Either way you're toast." I just stood there as he walked away both confused and frightened. What the heck is going on! I haven't even joined a club yet I already have a label on the bottom of the social latter? Wait... is it because I was singing in glee club? But that doesn't make sense, it's not like I am in the club or anything. If only I could be playing basketball... I hate high school.
The day went on but before I could leave history class my teacher stopped me.
" Ms. Holiday, are you not understanding what's being taught? I would suggest you get a tutor because right now you are failing my class. I understand if you are busy, but the American revolution is important." Mrs. Picklebomb said ( I don't even know...).
" I'm sorry, I'll be sure to get on top of my work. I just have a lot going on right now." Not really, I just don't like History, but that's a rude thing to say. Besides it's just a little white lie.
"I hope you have a good day Mrs. P!" I said while exiting the classroom. I deflated a bit, not knowing anyone who'd want to tutor History. Not paying attention to my surroundings I almost ran into none other than Kurt Hummel!
" Bridgette are you okay? You seem a little out of it. Don't tell me you're sick, I love you and everything but I don't want to get the flu with sectionals getting closer. Practice makes perfect am I right?" Kurt and I laughed a little before I replied.
" Actually you're wrong, perfect practice makes perfect. I mean, you could practice night and day all on the wrong things, and when it's time to show people, you mess up or do the wrong thing." Looking at his slightly lost face I chuckled a bit. " Sorry, my coach told me that when we were a week away from the winter cup." I saw him nod, kind of getting what I was referring to.
" Anyway, I'm not sick. I'm just trying to think of someone who will willingly tutor me on the American revolution, can you help me?" I scratched the back of my neck, not used to asking for help since I like to do things myself.
" Are you serious? With all you've done for the glee club I could put together a girls night. Then all of us can see what we can do. No offence to the guys but I wouldn't trust even half of them to help with your studies." We both laughed at that and I agreed.
At the end of the day all the female glee clubbers knew about our girls night and we decided to get together earlier.
" So, the American revolution huh? If you ask me I say the best way to learn about history is by textbooks, no matter how boring it is." Mercedes spoke first about my problem but all I did was shake my head, telling her Iv'e tried using textbooks before and that I always fall asleep. Once I finished it but the next day I didn't remember a single thing.
" Well obviously we need to set up multiple pop quizzes. The first few will be harder but the more she does the more she will remember. And they will be timed so she wont just look at it and leave. " Rachel voiced her thoughts sounding so sure that it was the best way to study.
" I don't do very good in stressful situations. That's why I practice basketball so much, If I am good at the game there's really no reason to be stressed. I just don't know how to tie that in to my school work." I sighed and my shoulders slumped down in defeat. Suddenly Kurt and Rachel looked at each other.
" July 13 2015 Hamilton on Broadway." Both Rachel and Kurt spoke at the same time as I rose my brow looking at them in confusion.
" Hamilton? Isn't that guy's face on some dollar bill?" I questioned.
" Yes, Hamilton is a musical on the american revolution. You may not be able to watch the Broadway show but if you listen to the soundtrack I'm almost positive you will know so much about the revolution." Rachel spoke first when I could only be amazed on how many Broadway shows and songs she can remember, like, how?!
" Even if it doesn't have all the information you need, you'll probably want to learn about the revolution after you listen to it. I should know, I used to be obsessed with that musical and began my research about it." Kurt finished for Rachel but I was still skeptical.
" Okay, I'll listen to the sound track, but only because you both know a lot about it. If anyone else told me to I probably wouldn't, so feel lucky. " I gave them both a playful glare.
The rest of the day I was singing songs from Hamilton. Someone actually got really annoyed at the store and told me to stop, I just told them to listen to the Hamilton soundtrack and they would understand. I also had a killer essay on the American revolution.
