We don't talk anymore

We don't talk anymore

We don't talk anymore

Like we used to do

*Two Months Later*

Hayley

College work is driving me to insanity. Amy's and I life has been good but hard at the same time. I work as a waitress and she works in a clothing store in the mall that's in front of the campus. Slowly we fixed that horrible apartment and now it's taking place. We have a tight student budget but we can still live properly. Of course we can't be luxurious but at least we have the things we need and it stays that way.

"Halez!" Amy called from the kitchen.

"What?" I said annoyingly. This is not a perfect time to worry about something, like, I have this huge test tomorrow and nothing will interrupt me. Including her.

"Get your fat ass here!" she literally screamed.

I get to the kitchen and she is basically shaking like a leaf. A wordless Amy pointed the counter and I see a little baby spider.

"Honestly Amy?" I said with a non-emotion voice, surprised that she could be so scared of an indefensible spider.

"Yes Hayley! Kill it! I'm scared!" she said scarily.

"But just look at it. It's a baby spider." I said trying to bother her. I don't like animals much but it's small so...

"I don't care. Just do it!" she screamed.

"Fine," I said and took one of my Vans and BAM! I saw the tiny spider smashed in my shoe. "Are you happy now?" I asked her.

"Yes now get away." she said getting back to her sarcastically manners. That's why she's my best friend.

I go back to studying and it's getting kind of boring so I decide to go to the café that's nearby the campus.

"Hey Ms. Spider, I'm gonna study in the café, do you want something?" I said mockingly but truthfully.

"Yeah go away superhero." she said giving me the green light while mocking me.

I throw messily all my books and notepads and get going. After a couple of minutes I get there and boy, it's packed. I go to the counter and order a caramel macchiato and a chocolate chip cookie. I look around and see a 2 seat round table and I sit on one of the chairs. After a few minutes of reading, highlighting, and repeating over and over, I get a little distracted, thanks for some strange voice.

"Nice weather we're having, aren't we?"

Wordless. Amazing description to my thoughts right now. I'm very awkward around other people. What should I say? I have no clue, actually.

"Um... Yeah." I said shakily not looking to the male who talked first. I'm very shy around them. I've had a manly figure so I don't know how to react around them. It's like my tongue gets tight up and my throat starts to get dry and honestly, its a horrible feeling.

"Yeah. I'm Niall and you?"  he asked while inviting himself.

"I'm Hayley." I said simply and finally took courage to look at him. He truly has extraordinary features. Piercing blue eyes, flawless messy hair, captivating smile and magical voice. What's not to love about this guy? Charming personality but he has badass aura and I like it. He's daring and not afraid of anything. He's a likeable guy; hands down.

"Well, Hayley. What you doing?" he said in a low, sexy Irish accent; that I'll never get bored of.

"I'm just... Studying and... Eating. What are you doing?" I said unsurely because honestly I don't know what to say.

"I'm just staring at the beauty in front of me," he said cheekily and I feel my face heats up; and almost like a ritual, I hung my head low while stupidly smiling to the floor. Now that was a cheesy pick-up line; that's for sure. "Hey. No need to smile at the floor, you can smile at me." he said while attempting me to look at him. Somehow I feel myself to keep falling with this straight. I dare myself to look at him and he's smiling at me his million dollars smile while those blue eyes are my main distraction.

I look outside the window and notice that it's already dark. I know that if I don't arrive home soon, Amy's gonna come and obviously embarrass me and I don't want that but still I want to know Niall better but I know that I gotta get over my shyness. I think it's time for me to have a new friend and I know I need to socialize more.

"I think you're wonderful but I got to go." Niall said, in some point saving me from leaving him alone.

"Oh. Okay." I said somewhat disappointed, you know.

"But, I was kind of wondering if you would come here tomorrow so you and I could know each other better." he stated and I like this agreement.

"Yeah, that would be fine by me." I said trying to hide how happy I am.

"So... Same spot at 6? Sounds good?" Niall agreed and I nod and wave a quick goodbye.

I can stop smiling. I'm just happy that I can barely explain it. It's just something so new. So fresh. So alive. And I'm lovin' it so far.Yep, best trip to the café ever...
