The Beginning

~Chapter Fourteen~

Time Steve sighed softly and lowered his head. There was a quiet knock sounding out from the side of us.

' Who is it?'

~Oli's POV~

I stared at the door, confusion visible on my face. I flicked my ears as Time Steve stood up to go open said door. Soon, the door opened, aided by sticky pistions. A new figure stood at the door. He wore a chicken onesie and a dark grey bandana. His chestnut brown hair shifted as the door opened.

' Ah, Sabre. How are you?' Time Steve asked, earning a nod from "Sabre".

"Ah, I'm fine. How's the...erm... The thing doing?" Sabre asked. I could tell he was nervous for some reason. I sat there patiently, waiting for Time Steve to introduce me to Sabre.

' They're awake actually. Sabre,' Time Steve said, turning to me, ' This is Oli. Oli, this is Sabre.'

I nodded to Sabre with a smile. He had a nametag above his head which said, "FavremySabre".

Sabre walked over to me and sat down. "Hey, nice to meet ya. I'm Sabre." He said.
' Does he not know that I can understand what Time Steve said?' I asked myself with a small hum. I nodded anyways and smiled.

Sabre smiled a small bit and chuckled. "You did a dangerous thing, getting in front of us, but thanks. We would've been destroyed if it wasn't for you."

I stared at Sabre for a moment. I grabbed my book and wrote in it.
" But you're a player, you'd come back. Rainbow Steve wouldn't, however. Am I wrong?"

I handed Sabre the book and flicked my tail. It still felt weird from when Rainbow Steve pet it. Once Sabre was done reading, he handed the book back to me, staying silent.

"... Yeah, but I don't think that'll happen in this dimension." He murmured. Time Steve looked as confused as a clock mask could allow.

I nodded thoughtfully. I erased what I had wrote and put my book away. Sabre sighed and stood up. "Time Steve, it's about time we head to sleep." He addressed Time Steve with a somewhat soft tone. He then turned to me and said, "You don't mind sleeping in here, do you?" To which I shook my head no.

Sabre nodded again and walked out of the room, Time Steve at his heels. However, Time Steve paused and waved goodbye to me before closing the door.

I yawned slightly and layed down to sleep. I didn't know how long I had been awake, but I wanted to sleep. The world around me grew dark as my eyes drifted closed.
