The day of the engagement came and I just want to get everything over with. My sisters kept teasing me and my mother just couldn't stop singing praises of her future daughter in law. I discovered she is a graduate of medicine and very beautiful courtesy of my sisters.
We are currently at my in-laws house waiting for their beautiful daughter to grace us with her presence. I heard some sounds coming from the stair case so i decided to look up and my breath was stolen away by her beauty, I looked away before anyone could notice.
My mum and sisters kept saying Masha Allah and complimenting her beauty. When it was time to exchange rings my mum went over to her side to give her her ring while her mum gave me mine. While discussing with her dad i felt gaze on me so i turned to see who it was, but she immediately averted her gaze. I looked away.
We observed salat zuhr and returned home. On the way I made up my mind to give this relationship a chance.
The next days that followed was filled with preparations for the nikah.
