Faruk
Today is the nikah and I'm sooo nervous. I am in my room dressing up so I can join my family outside. "Masha Allah, my son is now a grown man," my mum said coming to hug me immediately I stepped outside. I just smiled and returned the hug, then we all entered the car and my dad drove off to the mosque.
"Faruk Musa, do you accept Fatimah Ibrahim as your wife?, the imam asked three times and i replied positively. After that prayers were said and the nikah was concluded. Congratulations were circulated and we left the mosque for my wife's home.
Her mum and aunts came to welcome us outside and escorted us into the house, " welcome, welcome, congratulations my son. Come inside. " Few minutes later, I heard sounds coming from the stairs and looked up, "Masha Allah," I whispered mesmerized by my wife's beauty as she was brought downstairs by her sisters. Her gaze was lowered to the floor and I quickly averted my gaze before i get caught staring. She was made to sit beside and my mum and sisters came to congratulate her. "Congratulations my child welcome to the family," she just nodded her head shyly. "Our bride is feeling shy," teased my sister Zainab.
Next pictures were taken and it was finally time to leave. My parents left with my sisters to according to them prepare for Fatima's welcome. My wife hugged her parents crying which took a lot of time before we finally left.
The ride home was silent. When we finally got home, I went to open her door for her not missing her shocked expression and we stepped in to my, no our home together. I showed her to the room which was decorated beautifully with flowers (this must be the preparations my sisters were referring to).
"You can go and change in the bathroom while I change here," I said to her and she nodded. I was sitting on the sofa not knowing what to do when she came out of the bathroom. "Do you need anything to eat?" I heard her sweet voice asking, "just water and I'll get it since you don't know your way around the kitchen yet. Is there anything you need?" "No", she said and went to drink water in the kitchen
" Em, Faruk where should i sleep," she asked me when I entered the room again
"You can sleep on the bed I'll use the sofa," I said but she was quick to reply
"No, you sleep on the bed while i use the sofa," "then why don't we use the bed together if you don't mind, I put some distance between us" I said "ok," she said and we both laid on the bed.
Few minutes later I was asleep.
