Ellie's POV

"Mum, i dont want to do this any more, ive changed my mind" I whined, stamping my feet.

"Come on sweetie, its your first lesson, im sure you will make lots of new friends" she reassured me while she was paying for my first diving lesson. Ive been a big fan of diving. Leon Taylor is my favourite diver. i watched him two years ago when he was in the 2000 sydney olympics. he came fourth in his competition.. i was so proud of him. i was jumping up and down waving my Great Britain Flag around.

"Ellie come on, letts go get you changed" My mum said interupting me from my past thoughts. I went into the changing rooms and let my mum help me get changed into my swimming costume, i was soo nervous. I didn't nnow anybody, i hope i could make some new friends. I stepped out on to the pool side. in my class i saw a boy that looked my age and a girl about a year or two younger then me. The rest were defiantly my age. The boy had blonde hair and he was talking to the girl who looked younger then me, they obviously knew eaach other. I said goodbye to my Mum and went and sat on the pool edge with my legs dangling in the water until divig started. I heard whispering behind me and just as i was about to turn around two sets of hands pushed me into the water. When i resurfaced i saw two faces laughing their heads of. i couldnt stop my self from laughing as well so i just tried to hide my smirk under the water as i swam back to the side. I got out and just started at the blonde haired boy and the girl.

"What was that for?" I tried to say with a angry face, it didnt work. They were still laughing.

"Sorry, Im Jack" He said putting his hand out for me to shake it, i shook his hand.

"Im Ellie, Im new" i said back. I looked at the girl who hadn't said anything yet.

"Oh, Sorry, im Alicia. I just zoned off on one there." she said still chuckling a little bit

"Hi, so how long have you been diving for?" I asked them both

"I just started two weeks ago, Alicia started last week so we are both still pretty new to this. its a pity Hannah isnt here, shes a right laugh." Jack said chuckling under his breath. he stopped chuckling when our coach came out onto tthe poolside.

"Hey guys, i can see that some of you have introduced your selves to Ellie, shes new, she will be our latest edition to this class. Im Jenny by the way" she smiled sweetlyy at me.

"Okay guys we are going to start by doing some divies of the 1m board and then we will try some on the 3m board"

~~~~~~~~~~~ 1 Hour Later~~~~~~~~~

"Omg that was soo fun, i wish i started earlier" I was saying to Jack and Alicia at the end. We had done all sorts. at the end we all got to jump off the 10m board. Me, Jack and Alicia jumped off holding hand. i could feel the G-force on my faces when we were in the air.

"I know right, i think divings the best thing ever" said alicia with a smile beeming on her face.

"So where about do you live Ellie??" Jack asked curiously

"Harrogate, what about you two? i asked back.

"I live in Woodlesford, Jack lives in Harrogate near you im guessing, i wished i lived nearer you guys, we could be such good friends" Alicia said with a sad face.

"I already think you guys as my best friends already, and ive only known you for an hour" i said beeming.

"Thanks Ellie, okay i will see you two on friday, can't wait for our next lesson, hopefully you will get to meet Hannah." jack said as he waved and walked into the male changing rooms.

"okay i will see you later Alicia, my mum will be wating, see you on Friday". i said waving, as i walked into my cubicle to get changed. i took about 10 minutes to get changed and about 5 minuted to dry my hair under the dryer. I walked out of the changing rooms beeming at my mum who was reading.

"Hey Sweetie, Now that wasnt that bad was it, did you make any new friends?" she asked with a smile on her face.

"Yes, itt was soo good mum. i want to be a diver in the olympics like Leon Taylor, but no a boy. Yes i made two new best friends called Jack and Alicia, they are soo fun." I replied to my mum. "I can't wait until friday.
