After that whole incident with Robert and  Cabot, Josette couldn't help but feel a tad bit annoyed by the two's constant bickering. She agreed with both of them, they made clear points in the situation.

On one had Josette did feel like the men were getting treated too harshly, and after everything their men had been through they still were standing, but on the other hand they were going off to battle after all. Still, their well being was at the top of Josettes list.

She wanted to help her men be the best that they could be, so while Cabot and Robert bickered, she would train them, a bit harder than usual, but she would make everything fair. Right now that's all she was focused on, she had no idea what was going on with her and Robert.

They kissed, yes. It only seemed to be in the spur of the moment though, which hurt but she couldn't let that cloud her mind. There was no doubt in her mind that she liked Robert, even though they've known each other for a short time, she just knew she liked him, from the moment they met it felt like everything snapped into place.

Even though he was hard on her, he liked her, he liked her a lot, he really didn't enjoy the way he sometimes treated her, but he was the Colonel and it was his job. He knew she understood that. Whenever they were having a conversation alone he made sure she wasn't talking to Colonel Shaw, but talking to his real self.

Where he didn't have to pretend to be all tough and hard, he only hoped that his authority didn't push her away, like it was starting to do with his childhood friend, Cabot Forbes. The man just couldn't bare to loose her, she was far too important.

Knowing someone for a short amount of time and being keen about them this much was a bit scary to him, while he's had plenty of crushes before, something was different about her.

Roberts figure turned around, being pulled out of his thoughts by the very same person he was thinking about, a small smile appeared on his face, thankfully the shaving cream that rested there somewhat hid it.

"Good Morning Sergeant." Robert greeted wiping off the cream, barley finishing up on shaving his face. "Morning Colonel." She greeted back with a bit of an expressionless face, grabbing his suit for him and laying it out neatly for him.

Not knowing what to say he began slowly and carefully. "I've seen what you have been doing with the regiment Sergeant Major, and I must say I'm very impressed by your determination....but if that had anything to do about what I said to both you and Cabot the other day I want you to know it's not true..." He apologized hoping it would be enough.

"I didn't mean it Josette. The men are getting better thanks to you and Cabot." He added, she stood there, looking at him for quite sometime. "...you have permission to speak freely." Robert said with a small chuckle.
