"Brandon?" I stepped forward how was here for all I know this was a dream. The boy stared at me "my names not Brandon it's Hatter!" He snapped. He's not Brandon? They look so much alike. He looked my up an down. "So what do we have here, another play toy I assume?". Play toy? What did he really think that I would fall for Chesh's pathetic charm that would never work on anyone. "No she is my lovely girlfriend-"
"GIRLFRIEND, I AM ANYTHING BUT THAT!!" I grabbed Chesh's shirt and got in Chesh's face yelling at how he shouldn't tell people something that we will never be. "Hahahah you got a great girl friend Chesh!!" He laughed and pointed at me. I turned around and released my grip from Chesh's shirt,
The boy known as Hatter stood up and walked towards us. "The Cheshire Cat, what a surprise you usually don't come around here unless you want something". Chesh just laughed "hey we're bros right? Can't I just come over to say hi?" The hatters face darkened "We-Are-Not-Friends! You just come here to annoy me for pleasure or steal stuff!' I looked at Chesh "umm" this is getting awkward. "Oh please I just borrow a few things that you probably weren't going to use anyway."
Hatter started to back up slowly. My stare was so intense that if it was a laser it could easily kill 4 grown men with one shot. I walked toward him "what was that? What did you say?". "I'm not afraid of a little girl". Hatter looked me right in the eye. "Umm..hey..lets calm it down you two that's not what we came here for!". "Then what did we come here for?" I snapped slightly annoyed at Hatter. "Yes, cut to the point cat". Probably annoyed too. Chesh laughed nervously "well lets just have Alice tell you what she is".
I spun around "why do you make it sound like I'm an alien?". "Well technically you are here, right Outsider?" Hunter added. I was silent, I just wanted to go home. "We need your help to get her to the Blue Caterpillar" Chesh said. Hatter snorted "my help what can I possibly do, I make hats that's it" he said flatly. Hatter turned around and started walking away.
"Wait" I grabbed his hand, he stopped and turned and looked at me. "We real- no I really need your help" I asked in a small voice. He looked in my eyes and saw the desperation. He sighed "alright fine, I'll help..". "Yes thank you" I ran up and hugged him. Hatter acted like he's never been hugged. "What-get off of me!". "Hey no fair why did you hug him but not me?" Chesh teleported away. Hatter managed to pry me off of him. "Now that's done-" he kept eyeing me to make sure I didn't Hug him again"-we should get supplies in town and then set off". "What town?" I asked. I didn't see a town on the way here, did I? "We're going to the town of Lucia, it's a about a 2 in a half hour walk from here".
Hatter walk out if the throne room and into a hallway. Chesh seemed have disappeared, so I just followed him. "Oh don't open any doors, i mean it". Hatter stated "got it, don't open any doors" I recited. The hallway was filled with paintings of different hats. "Obsessed about hats much?" I mumbled under my breath. He must of heard because, he shot me a look and kept walking. Their were lots a different colored doors in this hallway. A red, green, pink, yellow, and ooh blue. I ran over to the blue door.
Hatter turned around "hey wait don't-" but it was too late I threw open the door and a lion was running toward me roaring. I screamed at the top of my lungs and shut it just in time. Standing with my back against the door I breathed in and out heavily trying to remain calm. Hatter smirked "Serves you right for not listening". "WHY IS THERE A LION IN YOUR HOUSE!!!!" I shouted. "I wanted to see what it looked like in a hat" he simply stated.
We walked again and traveled further down the hall. We stopped at a door that wasn't like the others. This door was big, it had a giant hat on it, and it was all painted all sorts of colors. Hatter pulled out a key with a hat on the end and stuck it into the key hole. The started to make a bunch of mechanically noises before opening. We walked into the biggest library I've ever seen! "Whoa this a freaking huge library!" I exclaimed. "Oh this just my office and its quite small to me, the library is down the hall". This is his office? It's more like a small school, which still is pretty big.
Hatter began shuffling through the papers in his desk. "Watcha lookin for?" I asked curiously. "I'm looking for money" I tilted my head "dontcha keep it in your pocket?" He stopped moving things about and looked at me as if I were crazy. "Why would I need to carry money in my pocket, it would fall out during battle". He snapped "just saying you could always carry it with you" I mumbled. When he was done he put everything back neatly and in its place.
"Alright let's go-" he looked around "where's Chesh?" I shrugged my shoulders "I don't know". Hatter and I exited his office and returned to the hallway. As we passed the blue door I kept my eye on it, just incase it opened again. We entered the throne room, when suddenly a hand snaked its way around my waist. I gasped, Hatter turned around right as I disappeared.
I reappeared and saw that I was sitting on Chesh's lap in The Hatter's throne chair. "Hey sexy, misses me?" Chesh leaned in to kiss me, but was pulled away by a very angry Hatter. "Get out of my chair!" He pulled up Chesh and threw him across the room. Chesh disappeared right before he landed, and reappeared at my side. "Ahhhh" I screamed "don't freaking do that, you almost gave me a heart attack". Chesh smiled "sorry love, you just look so cute scared" as He tilted my chin up. I smacked his hand away and walked outside towards Hatter who was impatiently waiting for us.
"Let's go you two-" when we didn't fasten the pace he got mad. "geez can you guys get any slower!". "Someones a little mad Hatter!" I realized what I just said I fell on the floor laughing. Chesh laughed super loudly. Hatter just stormed off and when we were done laughing we followed in pursuit. Who knows what will wait us ahead, but right now we need to focus on getting to Lucia.
