I saw Chesh standing with his back to me in a meadow and he turned around. He saw me and smiled, "Chesh-", but then a hand a hit him clear out of the grove. I stood their horrified at what I just seen, he had been wiped away from existence. I stared at my hands and fell to my knees. I....I..this is my fault...if I had been faster then we...wouldn't have...stopped...I..I..I can't live with this. I can't live knowing I had let Chesh die.
"Chesh...." I opened my eyes and looked up, I saw the tops of trees......Chesh. I looked around and saw Hatter leaning against a tree, looking at me. He had a blank expression. I sat up "where's Chesh?" My voice full of desperation. "I don't know.." He said looking away. "What do you mean you don't know?" We stared at each other. I stood up and walked over to a tree.
I slammed my fist against the tree "dammit....." I pressed my face up against the tree "CHESH YOU CAN'T BE DEAD!!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs before collapsing to the ground sobbing. "No he's not dead..." I turned my head to look at Hatter standing up. "He's not leaving me to take care of you...he's not done yet....we're not done yet!" he held his hand out for me. I smiled and took it, I stood up and we began our search for Chesh.
We ran for hours and shouted for Chesh. "CHESH!!" "CHESH!!", it was getting dark out and we still had no luck of finding him. "He has to be around here somewhere" I said out of desperation. Hatter looked over at me with disbelief written all over his face. "STUPID CAT!!" I shouted. "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!" I can't live knowing we never found him. Hatter walked to me "huh-" he grabbed my hand pulled me in to his arms. "Shh..we'll find him...don't worry we will find him" I wrapped my arms around his neck and whispered "thank you.....Hunter" "how you know my name?", I smiled "it wasn't that hard to guess...........and I looked through your papers on your desk when you weren't looking..."
"Figures"
We stood there hugging for a couple of minuets when I heard whispers. "Do you hear that?" We both listened for a minuet, the whispering continued. Hatter let go of me and drew his sword "who's there?". A group in cloaks emerged from the shadows of the forest. "Clever girl" a guy in front said clapping, something tells me he is the leader. "Who are you" I asked holding onto Hunter/Hatters arm. The leader laughed darkly "we are the Blood Brothers Guild and were here to take your head"
I tightened my grip on Hunter, he noticed "Zander I see your still alive" Zander their leader clenched his teeth. Hunter continued "I thought you'd be dead by now". Zander looked like he was about to explode "I'm not leaving any time soon, so why don't you give me the pretty girl and we call it day" Hunters face darkened "touch her and I will rip your heart out" I cringed at how dark his voice sounded. The leader laughed and disappeared by reappeared in front of us.
Hunter pushed me behind him and their swords collided "I never liked you Demon". Hunter smiled "I'm not the demon" I watched them go at it for minuets, they were so fast my eyes couldn't keep up. Zander snapped his fingers and the rest of his group attacked Hunter but they were no match for him. I saw that Zander disappeared and realized it was a distraction. I spun around and saw Zander smiling evilly, he wrapped his arm around my waist "let go of me". Hunter rushed over to us just as we disappeared. We reappeared behind him.
Zander tightened his grip as I struggled to get free. He sniffed my hair "oh what fun I'll have with you" I stared at him with disgust "you sick pig" he laughed. Hunter stared at Zander with pure hatred, he looked he was about to turn into a demon. "Give her back" he stated darkly. "But the funs just started, besides I didn't get a kiss from the princess". He leaned down to kiss me but was cut off
"HEY NO ONE KISSES ALICE BUT ME" we all turned around to see Chesh standing on a tree branch. My heart filled with relief. "I'm gone for a couple minuets and you are getting attacked by a bunch of old men". "You were gone for hours!!!" hunter yelled. "Same thing" Chesh said right before he slashed Zander's face and he let go of me.
I ran to Chesh but was pulled back by Zander grabbing my hair "oww" I fell to the ground beside Zander. "I'm not giving up that easily" Zander proclaimed. "Me either" I said as I punched Zander in the place where the sun don't shine. He fell to the ground "why you little bitch!" I stuck my tongue out at him before running off with Hunter and Chesh.
