*Y/N's POV*
I was walking around on the beach, waiting for the ship to be ready to set sail. You see, we had a tiny problem, while we were getting ready to set sail, we didn't notice the faint scratch on the bottom, so when Motonari got told about water entering the ship he docked us right away, he then ordered his men to fix it. He took two of his men to scout the area. He told me to stay near the ship, so here I was collecting sea shells for him. He may not look like the type of guy to love sea shells, but he is. Every time we dock, he asks me if I want to collect sea shells with him, and of course I say yes. 'Hmm this one has a red tint to it, it would match his eyes...' I thought as I continued to collect shells, what I didn't notice was that I traveling a bit far from the ship. "Excuse me, lady. Are you lost?" I turned around after putting a shell into my basket, I saw a young man... about Motonari's age, talking to me. "No, sir, I'm not... my ship is right over there." I said as I pointed to our ship, that was a little ways away. He nodded, "I see... you like collecting sea shells, yes?" He asked, I nodded as I started walking back towards the ship. 'This guy is creepy...' I thought as I raised my pace. As I neared the ship I felt a hand come around my mouth. "Shhh, don't make a sound little one..." I heard the guy say into my ear. I saw Motonari walking back with his guys. I bit the dude's hand, he still had his arm around my waist, but that didn't stop me from screaming. The moment I screamed, I saw Motonari snap his head in my direction, his eyes went wide for a moment before he started racing towards me. The guy behind me growled and knocked the basket of shells out my hands, he put a hand around my neck and started to drag me towards the jungle that was near us. However... Motonari was faster. I closed my eyes and then felt all the weight of the other guy disappear. I felt arms wrap around me, I opened my eyes to see that I was in Motonari's arms and that the other guy was face first into the sand. "Are you ok?" I heard Motonari ask me, I nodded as I hugged him. We walked back over to my basket and picked up all the shells, however Motonari wasn't acting like his usual self... it wasn't the first time I was kidnapped or almost kidnapped but after he saved me, Motonari would just go back to being his normal attitude filled self. I wondered if he was ok, as we got back on the ship and set sail once again......
~Time skipppp~
*Y/N's POV*
I was in our room putting the shells I found into a chest. Motonari walked in, and sat down on our bed. I put the shell I was holding into the chest and got up, walking towards him. I sat beside him. "Motonari..." I called his name but he didn't seem to respond, I poked his cheek... no response... I gently pulled his hair.... nothing. Now I was getting REALLY worried. I sat on his lap and made him look at me. When I saw his eyes, I let out a small gasp. His eyes, that were so often filled with fun and life, had now become so cold... and I knew why... he was fighting his inner demons... the ones that I tried so hard to get rid of. They were tormenting him, hurting him. I couldn't take it, I lifted his hand and put it on my neck... on the spot where you could feel anyone's pulse. The moment he felt my pulse, he looked up at me, eyes filled with that rare, kid-like, innocence. He looked at his hand, then back at me. "I thought I was really going to loose you, back there..." He said as he hid his face against my chest, I sighed and held him. Letting him take his time, reassuring himself that I was really here and that I was safe. For what felt like seconds, I noticed was hours, when I looked out the window of our room, it was sunset... we had been in here for hours... I didn't mind. Motonari had fallen asleep... his breathing was soft and deep... like it should be. I gently got up and laid him down on our bed. Knowing that his crew would be worried for him, I walked outside and called for his crew.....
*Motonari's POV*
I felt small hands laying my head down on my pillow. Then, I heard a door shut. I opened my eyes and saw that it was night time, I looked all over our room and I didn't see Y/N anywhere, maybe she's in our bathroom... I got up to check... nothing. 'What if she was really kidnapped and I dreamed of her being here? What if I wasn't able to save her and I was in denial of her being gone?' I shook my head not being able to take those thoughts anymore, it was obvious that my inner demons were trying to get ahold of me, the inner demons that Y/N tried for so long to get rid of. I opened our bedroom door and walked out on deck. I heard voices coming from the very top deck where the wheel for the ship was. I walked towards the staircase but stopped when I heard her sweet voice. "Yes, Motonari is alright. He is just asleep right now. And don't worry I'm alright too. Does anyone else have any questions?" I notice one of the younger crew mates raising his hand, "I do. Um, are you sure Captain is ok? Are you sure that you're ok, Miss?" He asked, 'That must be Shepard, he was one of the new recruits that we got when we went to China...' I thought as Y/N reassured him again. Shepard was new to ship life, he never knew what having a family was like either... something all of us had in common... well that was until Y/N came along. She became like a mother to the younger ones... making me seem like a father to them. I was ok with that, they needed to know that the older ones were there for them. Shepard needed to know too. I walked back to our room and closed the door, I noticed that not all the shells were put away. I lit some candles and put them in the lanterns, I sat on the floor and started to put them into the chest. 'The chest is filling up... we might need to send some of them over the Oda Forces, the Alliance, and Kennyo...' I thought as I paused. Y/N was always so kind, in fact she stopped a war from happening, now all of us were peaceful with each other. In fact we became friends with one another... to the point to where Nobunaga invited me to go on a trip with him. I of course said no because Y/N would have to manage the ship by herself and though she might be used to being like a captain, she didn't need that added stress. I was snapped out of my memories when I heard our door close. "Motonari what are you doing up?" Y/N asked as she sat by me, helping me put the shells away. "I woke up when I heard you leave the bedroom..." I said as I grabbed her and placed her in my lap. She nodded and snuggled into my chest. I picked up the shell that was in her hands and placed it in the chest. "Are you ok now?" She asked me, I sighed and nodded. "Hey, listen, it's gonna be ok..." I heard Y/N say, "What if... they try to rip me apart?" I asked, "Who? Your inner demons?" Y/N asked, I nodded. She sighed, "I'll be your lighthouse I'll make it ok, when I see you monsters I'll stand there so brave, and chase them all away..." Y/N said as she hugged me, I gently hugged her back, I felt something rolling down my cheek, I pressed my finger to it. 'I-I'm crying... I haven't cried in so long... it feels kind of nice...' I thought as I silently cried in her arms...............
