Waking up in this room feels wrong now. Nothing feels the same as it once did, not even my own bed. Not even waking to the train station felt right, but that feeling went away when I saw him. Sitting in one of the corner seats with his bag in the seat to his right, like he always did. A small smile finds its way to my face as I make my way to him. His eyes meet mine and he moves his bag to the floor for me. "Good morning Todoroki"
"Good morning y/n. Did you sleep well last night?" He's never asked me that before. "Um yes I did, why do you ask?"
"Your eyes, they're slightly red and swollen. Did something happen?" My fingers lightly trace the area under my eyes to feel a slight bump. "Um I had a bad dream that's all, don't worry" I gave him and smile and handed him his usual ear bud. "Alright, if you say so" I wish all of this was just a bad dream. That any time now I would wake up in my room with my dad and Ena there, telling me everything was ok. Knowing that wasn't going to happen feels worse than the 'dream' itself. It's true that I hadn't gotten much sleep last night, the truth is, I spent most of the night talking with Ena. Thinking about all of the things that we could have seen, but just chose to ignore. Was m dad going to prevent me from becoming a hero? No, he would have done that already. He wouldn't have allowed me to even get a letter for UA if that was the case. Then why tell me now of all the days, when I'm at the USJ? I'm brought out of my thoughts by Todoroki putting the other headphone in my ear. I look outside and see it's not our stop and at him questionably. Before I could ask anything, he wraps his arm around me and pulls me to lay on his shoulder. I hadn't noticed that a stray tear had slipped down my cheek until now, but I was great full he cared enough to notice. I close my eyes and enjoy the calming music, one that I didn't pick, one that Todoroki had put on for me. "Thank you Todoroki" I say just above a whisper. He doesn't say anything, he only moves his thumb across my shoulder in a calming motion. I had never seen him act like this before, I don't know where this side of him came from but I'm not complaining. I let my eyes fully close for the first time in a while, and feel myself drift off.

The day went on as normal, English, hero classes, basic Math, lunch, training and more. Packing up my stuff I am about to head to lunch when I am stopped by Hazashi. "Yo, y/n stay for a sec will you?" Putting my notebook in my bag I sit back down in my seat. "Ill catch up later guys"
I smile at Deku, Uraraka and Iida. "Sure thing!" I watch as they all head out the door and once they're gone I head up to his desk. "What's up?" As id on que, Aizawa and the principle walk into the room. Oh shit what did I do?

"y/n, I heard you had an... experience at the USJ that I would like to talk to you about" The principle starts to talk first. My breath catches in my throat and I start to nervously play with the straps of my bag. "How did you hear about that?"

"That doesn't matter, we would just like to talk to you about it alright?"

"What's there to talk about, my father is a villain. I know he doesn't want to harm me so what's the problem" They're gong to talk me out of the hero course aren't they. All because of him. "This is just precaution to make sure that you are safe, along with everyone else here"

"You think I'm a danger to people here? You think I'm a villain don't you?" Aizawa puts a hand on my shoulder which I shrug off. "That's not true, we know you aren't a villain y/n, we just know your father is a bad person and we don't know what he is capable of now that he is apart of a group" Wait.. does that mean. "You knew my father was a villain even before he was apart of a group?" Just like that, all of the anger I have towards my father came rushing out of me at once. "HOW COULD YOU KEEP SOMETHING LIKE THAT FROM ME?" They're all liars. All of them. "y/n please calm down" Mic reasons. My head is getting heavy, and it feels like tv static. Ena, please help me. I feel my body start fazing uncontrollably. "Shota, please" NO they're not taking me away from her. Before my teacher could erase my quirk I faze through the walls into the hallway and run. The shouting dies down once I reach the entrance of the school and go through the barrier. I don't stop there though, I make my way to the only spot I can think of.

Sitting in the grass with my head on my knees I finally catch my breath. My entire life, has been one big lie. How could the people I trusted the most go so long lying to my face. Nothing seems right in this world now, why does life hate me. A gust of familiar cold wind brushes past me, I pick my head up to see someone all too familiar. My half lidded eyes connect with hers as she rushes to me. "oh y/n I'm so sorry I couldn't get here fast enough" Ena basically jumps to me and embraces me. "Ena, you're.."
"I know, I'm getting pretty good you know" She backs up and looks to the left. "Todoroki?"
"I brought him here, he was looking for you and... once I sensed you were upset I knew that you left" This was me and Ena's spot ever since we were little. "Thanks.. ghosty" I turn my attention back to her and she's back to how she always is. Transparent, but she's smiling brightly like she doesn't care. "Do you mind if I sit?" I shake my head and scoot over so he can sit in the shade as well. "I.. I'm not really good at.. you know" I smile lightly at him knowing what he means. "I know, its alright"
"Do.. you um want to talk about it?" I thought about it for a second and nodded my head yes. Just like that my world had opened up to him. I had opened up to him. Sitting under a tree at an abandoned park like a fairytale. Just when life seems to have come crumbling around me, It gives me just one thing to hold on to -or rather- someone to hold on to, so that's exactly what I did. I held onto his arm like there was no tomorrow. He didn't seem to mind though, he even seems like he is enjoying it. "y/n.."
"Yes Todoroki?" I lift my head up from his arm to look at him. "Even though I'm not good at this whole.. affection thing, I still want you to know that you can talk to me ok?" I'm slightly taken aback by his sudden boldness. "Yea, thank you. I feel that I can talk to you about these things. I also want you to know that you can talk to me also alright? I don't want to be the only one" I smile at him almost completely forgetting about what happened earlier. "Thank you y/n, I really appreciate that" That rare light smile is back again and I cant help but blush at it. "You know, you should smile more often. It suits you" He looks at the branches of the tree above us and sighs. "You're the only person who can make me smile like this"
"Oh? Whys that?"
"I don't know, you're just special I guess" He leans his head down to face me again, this time he has a different expression. He looks so calm, so happy, he looks almost brighter than before.

As the two sat under the old tree together the male couldn't help but smile. A genuine, happy smile that he could feel from his head to his feet. He was truly happy when he was with her, and he couldn't believe someone like her could have such a past. The male couldn't help but feel a slight resentment towards his teachers for keeping this secret from her. This experience only brought the two closer together, and they would continue to grow as the days drag on.
