Review:

Title: 5/5
The title drew my eye immediately. Crique isn't something you see often and it is always something that interests me. Not to mention délit sounds forgein, so something else that draws attention.

Cover: 4/5
The colors are nice and I love a keyhole cover. The title is a little hard to read, but other than that I love this cover.

Blurb: 5/5
The blurb did a great job. It is short and sweet, but hooks you in. A circus empire? Magicians? It gets me wanting to know more.

Spelling, Punctuation, Grammar, and Vocabulary: 15/15
This might be the first time I have given a 15 on this. I didn't notice any mistakes throughout your story. I am a grammar and punctuation fanatic, so I usually find something.

World-building and Descriptions: 10/10
The world you are building in this story is beautiful. I loved the circus growing up, but I haven't been to one in years. And this one seems to be so much more!

Character Development: 20/20
Your characters are interesting. I like the little back and fourth between AJ and Kevan at the end of chapter one. I am looking forward to seeing how these characters grow together throughout your story.

Plot Development/Pacing/Chapter Structure: 16/20
I think I have said it enough up until this point, but the plot to this story is really good. With that said, the pacing in chapter one was slow. The interaction was great once I got there, but getting there was a trip. The rest of it was nicely paced and structured, though.

Originality: 10/10
This may be a me thing, but I haven't really read many circus themed books. The Night Circus is the only one I can think of off the top of my head and this is nothing like that one. That is a good thing, I didn't care for that one much. So for originality I would rate this higher if I could.

Enjoyment/Hook: 10/10
I was hooked from your blurb. Where the first was slow, once I got into it, it breezed by. I thoroughly enjoyed reading his and I am looking forward to reading more.

Total: 95/100

Other Thoughts: I really enjoy the "Circus Dictionary" you have at the end of each chapter. I have learned a lot about the circus!
