The mother daughter dou were enjoying their time , laughing as the young 11 old girl told her mother how this times field trip went they always did this it gave them a good laugh as well as worked as a great bonding experience .

Suddenly an owl came through the window left a letter and flew away leaving the girl extremely confused, while the mother was getting nervous since she saw it all coming.

Slowly and cautiously picking up the letter she noticed its not made up of paper but of some yellow material which felt suspiciously like parchment , it was sealed with blood red wax that had an H on it with four animals on the background a snake , an eagle , a badger and a lion . Turning it over she saw her name written over it in poisonous green ink but that what really shocked her was that it had really accurate address of where she resided .

    ' who write which bedroom a person sleeps in on the letter Creepy'  she thought
She opened the letter and read out loud
    " Dear Ms Jackson Black,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on September 1. "

Looking at her mother for any reaction she saw nervousness, a little fear and something else she could not understand so she just said " ha ha mom nice joke "

" Perci, sweetheart this is no joke I'm sorry but i hid a huge secret from you " said the mother
" Wh-what do you mean this letter ... mom you can't be serious." Her mother just gave her a sorry look
"Sorry sweetie i didn't want you to know about is this way "
"Mom i still don't understand it witchcraft and wizardry im confused"
" It's true and my name isn't really sally Jackson its actually Estelle black I changed it to Sally after i was disowned by my family for being a squib and was later adopted by the Jackson's " said Sally with a grimace
"What kind family disowns someone just like that and what the hell is a squib" said percy her voice unconsciously raised a little at the end
"Its a long story for the start there are three types of people with magic you see kinda like status there is pureblood then there is half-bloods and lastly muggleborns . The purebloods are wizards with both magical parents coming from a long line of wizards and witches , the half-bloods have both magic and muggle which is the term for non magic folks , muggleborns are people with non magical parents "

She continued to explain everything she knew to perci who listened everything very carefully nodding every so often showing that she is listening everything. As sally finished explaining perci asked the question that first came to her mind when her mother confirmed its not a prank
" Why did you not tell me before? why now ? After letter came "
" I didn't know if you have the gift of magic in you since i didn't have it plus with your father i didn't think it was possible" Sally replied honestly
"My father what does this have to do with him" perci asked exasperated
"Please percy now isn't the best time please , why don't we write a reply to the letter "
