The Mysterious Sea

My cousin, Gwen and I were sitting at the deck of the ship tanning enjoying our vacation. I looked over at Gwen she was taking pictures of herself like usual while I was reading and playing with my neckless.

"Get your noise out of that thing and help me"
"This thing?" I questioned smiling. "get your nose out if that book and help me find a picture to post" she said seriously.

"You should try a book sometime it has markings inside that tell stories and information" I say

"You can get like ten thousands e-books in a reader half the size of that thing and you wouldn't have to weight with you everywhere"

"It's not the same" I sigh
"Thats the point, what is that anyways" she looks over
"The mysterious sea? Have you ever thought of reading like a vampire romance or a zombie story like every other brainiac 17 year old" she laughs.

" I don't criticize your fashion magazines"

"It's fashion exactly something they don't force you to study in school something fun" she points out

"History books are fun"

"Sometimes I wonder how we possibly be related, I know our moms are sisters but still.."

"And they're social, say I'm reading it and somebody sees me reading it and that somebody comes up and starts up a conversation maybe they say 'nice book' and I'll say 'I know right!' Or ' they might say 'that's some heavy reading' and I'll say about two ponds' and we'll laugh and he'll ask me out and we would kiss" I blush and smile.

"Wait" Gwen glances at me
"Oh! Don't start"
"You still haven't kissed anybody yet"
"What does that have to do with anything" I look down. Gwen she's beautiful and probably kissed 100 guys I mean her perfect body and smile heck, if I wasn't related to her I would probably date her.

"Please tell me you have at least since the family cruise last year" Gwen asks hopefully

"Maybe I haven't met the right person"

"Look around you!" She says and smiles at a curly haired boy passing by and of course he smiles back.

"If you can't meet the right person here maybe you need to change what you are looking for, anyways witch one of these should I post" she asks showing me her camera roll.

"I don't know, maybe the one where you look fabulous, or the other one where you look fabulous" I stop and point to a random picture that she took "or I know this one where you look fabulous"
"You know what I see when I see you?" She asks

"Your dorky unkisseble cousin who reads who reads huge books?" I frown

"No, I see a totally smart babe who make the boring clothes look somewhat stylish" she compliments?

"Thank you, I guess"

"Some amazing guy will she what I see someday"
I smile at the thought of that 'amazing guy'

"But for now he would just see that you are turning a lovely shade of pink" she laughs

"Oh! I forgot to put in sunscreen!"

"I'll be right back" I say and put down my book and put my shorts and shirt on.

"I think I'll post the one where I look fabulous or the other one where I look fabulous"
"Good choice" I say and go inside.

I look around admiring the inside of the ship.

"It's beautiful" I whisper to myself.

While looking around someone bumps into me.

"Hey!"

"I'm so sorry" he says as if that helped. My neckless was tangled in his shirt. Great.

"Be careful!"

"Understood"

"Seriously I love this neckless"

"I got it, I got" he says while trying to untangle us.
"There" he finally untangled us.
I turn around and see the blond, blue eyed lip pierced boy and I stare.

"I can fix this" he said and started to untangle my hair I just kept starring at him.

"I almost got it"
"Take your time I'm not going anywhere" I blush

"There" he says after a few seconds and smiles
"Um, I was in a rush to catch up to see the blue coast"

"I get it don't worry" I say still smiling
"Well again my apologies desi"
"How do you know my name?" I ask confused

"I'm a mind reader" he whispers and laughs "your neckless" he smiles

"Oh right!"
"Let me guess it's short for Desimona?"
"You are the first person to ever guess that right" I blush
