Zayn and Niall crept off to their rooms, leaving us alone. "Louis..." Harry sighed.
"It's okay, Harry. It was a mistake. I don't blame Trixie."
"A mistake that almost killed you." Distraught, Harry let me go and started to pace up and down. "It wasn't Trixie's fault, but, still..."
"I know, Harry. I'm sure they'll put protection around the equipment now." Stopping Harry in his pacing, I jumped up, clinging onto him like a koala bear. He put his arms around me, supporting me. "I'm okay."
"I know, Lou, I know." Harry rested his head on my shoulder, and we stayed like that in silence for a while. Eventually, he walked to his room, putting me down on the bed gently. "I'm sorry."
"Don't apologise." Frowning slightly, I opened my arms so he'd give me a hug. "It wasn't your fault. It was no ones fault."
"You've got to understand, though, Louis, that I still want to protect you, no matter what." Harry lay down next to me, drawing me close. "I - I kind of like you, and I don't want anything to happen to you."
I didn't say anything, yet my smile told Harry everything. As the minutes ticked by, I settled down in his arms, revelling in the warmth and comfort Harry offered.
"Harry! Louis! Lunch is in five, if you want!"
"Do you want to go?" Harry asked me.
"Not really hungry."
Before long, the bell rang, indicating the start of third lesson. "I should go."
"To get beaten up? I don't think so." Harry sighed. "I'll teach you everything outside of class."
"Thanks. But don't you have class?"
"Nothing that's important." Smiling, Harry started to play with my hair. "Believe me, I know all about the geography of this area. Or what I need to know."
"Not really." I said, thinking of my first mission.
"Shut up." Harry chuckled, kissing me softly. "You're too smart for your own good."
"Not really."
"Is that all you're going to say? Don't you have anything else to say?" Harry questioned.
"... Not really." We both laughed.
"Do you want to skip out on training tonight? Mr. Banks wouldn't mind, not with the morning you've had."
"I'll probably just work on my archery." I shrugged. "I think he said we'd be having a fairly free session."
"That's only because he couldn't be bothered to plan out every single evening." Harry grinned.
"So? It just means I can do whatever I like." I smiled up at him.
"Anything? We could try making out all lesson. If he complains, I'll tell him we're improving our lip strength. And our breath endurance."
"Harry!" Hitting his chest lightly, I could feel the vibrations of laughter.
"It's a good plan, though." Harry innocently said. "I mean, we might need to practice beforehand."
"Oh, yeah?" I smirked.
"Yeah." Harry kissed me, arms wrapping around my waist. As I kissed him back, I let my hands drift into his hair, tugging softly at his curls.
"Wait -" I stopped him as he undid a button on my top. "No."
"Sorry, Lou." Harry murmured, taking his hand back down to my hip.
"It's okay." I muttered against his lips, running my fingers through his hair. A bang echoed through the room and we drew apart, looking towards the door.
"Stay here." Harry ordered, getting up and leaving the room. After a while of silence, I grew impatient and turned into my tiny kitten, padding out the door. It was a long walk to the lounge, when everything was twenty or more times bigger than usual.
"Louis, what are you doing here?" Harry crouched down beside me, and I jumped onto his shoulder, staring him straight in the eyes. "You probably don't want to be here."
As I took in the scene, I could see an upset Niall, a disappointed Liam and an angry Zayn. I wondered what was going on.
"Zayn, I told you -" Liam started.
"I don't care what you said, it still happened." Zayn's eyes were flashing, and I froze in horror, realising they were arguing. "Sometimes, life isn't perfect." While they bickered, I crept behind Harry's neck, flopping down so I was hidden from view, and I could only just see myself. I was a very small kitten.
"It doesn't matter if it's good or not, Zayn." Harry said reasonably. "Why don't we all just take a deep breath, yeah? We shouldn't be arguing."
"This isn't something we can just ignore!" Liam protested, and I got really confused.
"Guys..." Niall said quietly.
"Niall, don't go all sad on me -" Zayn tried.
"It's your fault!" Liam snapped.
"No, it's not!" Zayn's face hardened. "How the hell is it my fault? I didn't know!"
"It was still insensitive!"
"Lads! Quiet!" Harry demanded, and they fell silent. "Either you talk about this in a civilised way, or go and cool off for a while."
"Well, maybe that's not possible. Just because your life is oh-so-perfect with pretty, little Lou, doesn't mean it's okay for the rest of us!" Zayn growled, and I whined quietly, hurt.
"Don't say that." Harry said calmly, yet I could tell he was irritated when he stalked over to Zayn.
"Why not? Why not? We don't have to do as you say, Team Leader or not, Styles." Zayn was clearly highly annoyed, and I was getting scared.
"Don't be rude. We're a team, we should be able to act like mature adults."
"I don't care. Just run off to your darling Louis, if he's still here from sleeping around." Everyone froze, as Zayn realised what he had said. "I did not mean that." Tears built up in my eyes and I leapt at Zayn, adding a good, hard scratch to his face, before I jumped to the floor, running away to my room. Fortunately, I'd left the door open, so I slipped inside, diving underneath my chest of drawers and flopped down miserably, low whines coming from my throat.
"Louis?" Harry shut the door behind him. "Louis, where are you?" I couldn't bring myself to crawl out, so I just lay there silently. "Louis?"
I heard him moving around, until he stopped. "There you are." He came over to me, laying on the floor and scooping me out. His eyes were black, showing he was using his X-Ray vision. "I'm sorry, love."
Harry put me on the bed, and I turned into a human again, curling up into a ball. Harry lay beside me, running his fingers through my hair comfortingly. "Zayn didn't mean what he said, he'd never say that." He told me quietly.
I stayed silent, hiding my tears by making sure my face was still pressed into my knees. "Louis, please look up. Zayn is really mad at himself for what he said."
As I glanced up, I saw his face melt. "Lou..." Harry wiped the tears away using his thumb. "Zayn didn't - oh. Oh. Oh, oh, oh." He'd read my mind.
***FLASHBACK***
"Boy! Where where you?" She spat in my hollowed face, throwing me into the wall by the simple clothing I wore.
"T-talking t-to Zofia, ma'am." I stuttered, flinching at her furious face. "S-she was talking to me."
"And you talked to her, instead of getting back here and working like you should, you ungrateful brat?" She hissed. "You don't deserve to live here, yet I let you. Get outside." Realising what was going to happen, I pleaded desperately, but her husband just grabbed me by my ear, pulling me outside and tying me down onto the table.
"This is what you get for sleeping around." She poured the boiling water over my mouth, and I tried to scream, but it just burned my throat.
***END OF FLASHBACK***
"Nothing like that will ever happen to you again." Harry hugged me to him, as I uncurled, tucking my head under his chin protectively. "I promise."
"Lou?" Zayn said quietly, slipping into my room. "I'm so, so, so sorry." I stayed perfectly still in Harry's embrace as he walked over. "I'm really, really sorry."
"I-it's okay." I choked out.
"No, it's not. I shouldn't have said that." Zayn sat down on the edge of my bed behind me. "No matter what mood I'm in, I should've never done that."
"Why didn't Niall fix your cut?" Harry asked curiously, and I knew he was talking about where I scratched Zayn.
"I asked him not to." Zayn's confession was so pure, that I turned around, and jumped up, hugging him.
"Sorry I scratched you." I muttered.
"I deserved it, and more." Zayn returned the hug.
"Interesting, Lou." Harry drawled. We both turned around, and it was then that I realised I hadn't got my mental shield up.
**************************************************************
"W-what?" I threw my mental wards back up faster than I ever had before.
"Zayn, would you mind?" Narrowing his eyes at me, Harry sat up. As Zayn left, I could feel unease bubbling in the pit of my stomach. "What's all this about?"
"W-what?" I licked my chapped lips, as my mouth went dry in fear.
"Those... Feelings."
"What are you talking about, Harry?" I sighed. Suddenly, a bright grin lit Harry's face, as he easily tore my mental protection down.
"You love us. All of us, don't you?"
"What?" I yelped. "No!"
"Interesting." My attempts at blocking Harry out of my mind were futile. "Don't panic."
"Yeah?"
'Focus, Louis. Whatever happens, the key to your control is wanting the results.' My mental wards practically jumped up, and Harry winced, his presence in my mind disappearing.
"No need to go easy, Lou." Harry shook his head, as though clearing it. "Fortunately, you're not going to knock me out just yet."
"How would I knock you out?"
"The mind is a powerful thing, Louis, but you're changing the subject." He looked at me sharply. "And, by the way, none of us would break your heart like Zofia did."
"Don't say her name." I hissed.
"I'm sorry, Lou." Harry knelt up, getting closer to me and giving me a hug. "I shouldn't have said that."
"It -"
"Sometimes, things matter. You can't let people get away without apologising, Louis. So... I think you have an announcement to make to the boys." With a shining smile, Harry grabbed my wrist and pulled me from the room, to the lounge, where Niall, Liam and Zayn were sitting. "Louis wants to tell you something."
"No, I do not." Darkly glowering at Harry, I backed away a step.
"Go on." Harry pleaded with me.
"Tell us what, Lou?" Liam asked.
"Nothing!"
"Please?" Harry begged. "Pretty please?"
"No."
"What's wrong?" Niall looked concerned.
"Nothing. Harry's making stuff up." I tried to back away again, but Harry stepped behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist to prevent me from going anywhere. Sighing, my body twisted, and the little kitten landed on the floor.
"That's how it's going to be? Do you want me to tell them?" Harry smirked, picking me up. My cat eyes narrowed at him. "Choices, Lou, choices."
"If you dare..." I turned back into human form. "I'm going to have sex with you, then turn into your mom."
"That'd be too disturbing." Admitting defeat, Harry stood up and took a step back. "Wait... Do you even know what my mom looks like?"
"There's a picture of her in your bedroom."
"Shut up."
"Seriously, guys..." Zayn drawled. "Spit it out."
"I'd rather swallow." I shot back, then blushed bright red, clapping a hand over my mouth. "I didn't say that!"
"Oh My God, Lou!" Harry burst out laughing, practically doubling over.
"Shut up!" I whined.
"Louis, just tell us whatever it is. We won't mind." Niall walked over to me. After I was silent for a minute, Harry spoke up.
"Lou's -"
"I'm gay." I blurted out. They all shrugged.
"That's fine, Louis." Liam grinned, leaning against the wall just a metre away. "Besides, it was either that or bi, judging by the number of times Harry's kissed you in the past two days." Harry was watching me closely, knowing I dodged a bullet carefully.
"There's more." Zayn hummed thoughtfully. "And - ooh. Nice vision, that."
"What?" We all asked.
"Certain one, which, I'd predict, happens about... A minute from now." Zayn strolled over to the four of us. "You have strange fantasies, Louis. Nice, though."
'Calm down.' Harry's voice was clearly in the back of my mind, amidst the others. 'It doesn't matter if you tell them how you feel. Read their minds, then say.'
I tuned into the thoughts, picking through them until I found theirs. What I discovered almost made me fall over in shock. "Louis, you okay?" Niall asked worriedly. "You've gone pale."
"I kind of have a crush on all of you." I blurted out, then cringed. Harry grinned, slipping an arm around my waist.
"Y-you...?" They all froze.
"Please, say something." I sighed.
"I thought you liked Harry." Liam tilted his head.
"He does. But he also likes you lot. And you like him." Being the matchmaker he was, Harry gently pushed me a step forwards. We all hesitated. "Oh, for crying out loud. Just kiss already."
"Err..."
"Well... I'm just going to go." Harry smirked. "Don't get up to too much fun while I'm gone." With that, he padded back down the hall to his room, shutting the door behind him.
"This is too awkward." Liam sighed, before walking up to me and stopping just thirty centimetres away from my face. We both paused, before he kissed me. It was a lot different from Harry, yet still as refreshing. "You're a good kisser, Lou."
"Thanks." I blushed, before someone raised my chin from where I was looking at the floor. Zayn kissed me, then Niall. "So... What does this mean?"
"That you're all my little bitches." Harry chuckled behind me.
"I think you mean boyfriends." I turned around, running over to him and kissing him, my heart beating wildly.
