Meanwhile in Max's section of the maze, "nine huh, that seems fair" Max says, walking through the maze after practically falling to her death two seconds ago.
"What does it mean? commencing section nine..we all get our own section?" Max says, questioning the atmosphere, as if she'll get an answer.
She turns a corner and continues to walk, but she hears something crack open, in the distance behind her.
As she spins around, still continuing to walk, there's nothing there.
Her eyes follow back up to the front, where she trips and falls over something huge.
"Ow" Max says, slowly sitting up on the floor, before grabbing her flashlight from the ground and shinning it on what just tripped her.
"An....egg?" Max says, as she looks around the room, there are even more eggs, some cracked and some still intact.
The one she tripped on wasn't cracked yet, that is until..now.
A small cat sized, demo dog, climbs out of the egg slowly.
Upside down goo, dripping on to the ground from the egg as discharge.
Max crawls backwards on the ground, but bumps in to another egg, behind her, making another one crack open as well.
She screams, finally getting up off the ground and trying to leave the hall of the maze but, of course, the maze doesn't let her.
As the demo dogs get situated and start hungrily looking for Max, she hides inside of a nearby cracked egg and covers her flashlight.
"Maybe if i smell like them..they'll think i'm one of them.." Max whispers, cupping a pool of upside down goo from the egg, in her hands and rubbing it all over herself.
"They don't have eyes, they can't see me, they can only sense, and smell..." Max whispers, hearing a demo dog, creep up next to the egg, she was hiding in.
She shines her flashlight briefly, revealing the shadow of the demo dog, walking around the egg and observing it.
Max covers her flashlight, along with her mouth to keep her from making a sound.
Her heart begins to quicken as her blood pressure rises.
As the demo dog's head, peers inside the egg, she closes her eyes in fear, it smells around, looks directly at her in the dark, and then walks away slowly.
She lets out a small sigh of relief when the demo dog was further out of reach.
As she waits a few more minutes, before she assumes they had left.
She crawls out of the egg, looking over, expecting to see something, other than what she did.
"What?" Max says, sitting on the ground, she flicks on her flashlight and shines it all around the walls of the maze hall.
The demo dogs and the eggs were gone, as she looks back over to the egg she had been hiding in, that was gone too.
After awhile of collecting her thoughts, Max continued to walk through her section of the maze.
"Where do you think you're going?" a stern voice says from afar,
"no!" Max says, recognizing the voice.
"It can't be" she says, Neil slams Max against the wall, as her flashlight falls out of her hand, crashing to the ground.
As it spins in circles on the ground, the rapid light movement allows her to make out Neil's face in the dark, "let me go!" Max says, struggling to break free from Neil's grasp.
