Its Friday today and I have managed to avoid Trevor all week except in class but I just ignore him and focus on the project. I eat my lunch in the library now to avoid seeing him outside on the bleachers. My Grandpa went home the next day after our conversation, Uncle Mark has been busy with work so he was easy to avoid aswell.

Right now all the students have to go to the schools peprally and I just want to avoid the place at all cost. Sitting in the middle of the crowded bleachers I see all the cheerleaders doing flips and pyramids and I see the football players talking to their coach on the sidelines. I see Trevor and I guess he senses me staring cause he looks up at the bleachers and we lock eyes and he smiles at me and waves as I put my head down breaking the tension.

"Good afternoon Panthers!" We see the principal speak into the mic. The students cheer. "We are here to celebrate our national winning football team, So I'll let the coach take over." He says as he hands the coach the mic and the football team shouts out random things and you can tell he coach is rolling his eyes. "Thank you Principal. I just want to thank my team as this is my last year coaching and I couldn't ask for a better team to win." He smiles brightly over at the group of teenage boys who are jumping and bumping into eachother in a joking matter.

"Now words from our quarter back." The crowd cheers as Trevor takes the mic. "Thank you coach. We're all gonna miss having you around, even though we know you need the break from putting up with all of our crap, right guys?" The football teams cheers again as the coach laughs his ass of and nods in agreement. "We've been winning all our games recently and it wouldn't have been possible without that wonderful man who has given us all a chance even the people who aren't on the team." He looks over to the coach and then looks into the crowd.

"I remember when I first came here and I was kind of a mess." He laughs. "But he pulled me aside and told me if I needed to talk to someone even if its just about girls or homework that the team and I could always go to him. Trust me he has been more then a coach thats for sure. So Thank you Coach for always believing me and my team and we won't disappoint you." He hands the mic back to the principal as he hugs his coach and I realize I saw a different side to him.

School has ended and as I walk out I see Trevor with Dennis standing outside next to his car. I walk up to them and I see Trevor say something to Dennis and he walks off leaving the two of us alone.

"Done ignoring me now?" He says in a joking manner. "Can I talk to you about something?" I ask nervously. "Of course." "It's kind of a long story." "I have about an hour before the game." Can we talk tomorrow?" "Yeah, should I be worried?" "No? So tomorrow we can talk?" "Yeah. We can get breakfast and then go to the park." He says smiling. "That sounds good."

"Trevor let's go!" We look over to see a guy in a football uniform waving him over. Trevor looks back to me. "I have to go." "Ok. Good luck with the game." "Thank you. I'll see you tomorrow for our date." He smiles running off before I can comment. 'Another date' I think as I walk to my last class for the day.

When I reach home I notice my grandpa's car parked in the driveway. I enter the house and see the two men talking in the living room. "Hey grandpa, I'm starting to think you should just move in, considering how many times you visit." I joke and he laughs. "Ignore her dad, I like not having to live by your rules." Uncle Mark says. "If I lived with you I would live by your rules dumbass." Grandpa says laughing at the look in his sons face.

"So what are you doing here, not that I don't love it when you visits." I say as I walk into the kitchen with him following me. "Mark tells me that you are avoiding everyone." "I'm not avoiding everyone just Trevor and him sometimes." I tell him looking in the refrigerator for something to make for dinner. "Kelsey you cant just avoid him, you'll need to tell someone other than us." "I know and I'm telling him tomorrow." I state as Uncle Mark enters when I pull ground beef from the refrigerator.

"You're gonna tell him?" Uncle Mark asks me. "Not everything just that my dad abused me and I'm scared to like someone. I'm thinking spaghetti and home made meatballs." The nod in agreement. "Sounds good and when are you telling him?" "Tomorrow we'll be going to breakfast than the park and I'll tell him then." "You're going on another date?" "I guess." I blush and Uncle Mark chuckles. "What." I question. "I never thought I would ever see you blush again." "Well don't get use to it." I say as I start rolling the meatballs.

"Why?" "He might not want anything to do with me after." " I don't think he's that shallow." "Well most guys don't want to be with a girl who has issues." I say as I place the pasta noddles into the pot. "Can you take it out when it's done I need to go check something." He agrees and I run upstairs and grab my phone from the charger. I go to the schools social media and I see that the team is in the league at 18-7.

I walk back down stairs and I see that they put the cooked pasta in the dishes with the meatballs. "Thank you." I say as we sit and eat our spaghetti and meatballs. "What time is he coming by to pick you up?" Grandpa asked. "I think around 8. What time are you leaving tomorrow?" I ask. "I was thinking after lunch." "That works for me." I smile as we continue talking about random crap.
