Butterflies hit instantly as the elevator doors opened and you both rode up to the top floor where the band was staying. Both taking small glances at each other, neither being in a situation of this nature before. Neither of you knew what could be in store but it was one thing you both silently decided was worth the chance. Stepping out of the elevator Paul softly grabbed your hand leading you to the last room in the hall.

"Home Sweet Home, well at least until tomorrow afternoon" Paul laughed.

Flipping on the light you looked around the room as your eyes adjusted. " Pretty sweet room, well at least for this town anyway," you say as you set your bag down on the nearby couch.

Both of you remained silent for a few moments both still trying to grasp what was happening at the moment. You were in the hotel with a man you had seen as a hero for 15 years of your life but it felt like you had been spending time with a lost friend. It wasn't every day an attractive man took interest in you, with the bruises that were displayed across your face and the hidden cuts under your jeans.

He was in awe of being in a room with a woman with a natural beauty, who even knowing he was famous still treated him as a normal person. You had a kindness in her eyes even though he can see you had been through hell by the swollen bruise under her left eye. He had never felt something as strong as this moment.

"I had no idea the band was going to be in town this week, how many more stops do you have until the end of this leg?" you asked sitting down on the nearest couch.

Grabbing two bottles of water from the small kitchen, "Three or four I think this tour for the Revenge album has felt like the longest one ever. I just go wherever they tell me until they say it's time to pack up and go home, which I am ready for it to be over, it seems like I haven't seen my son in ages. I went from always wanting to be on tour to never wanting to leave, he's only a year old but he's the best thing that's happened to me." he said looking at you with a small frown before taking the seat next to you.

Seeing the sadness displayed across his face. "I can't imagine what it is like to be so close to a child that it's painful to be away from him so much, I wish my parents had even shown an ounce of love that you show right now." wincing as soon as the words left your lips.

You studied his face searching for some sign to show what he was thinking about, hoping his thought remained on Evan and not the end of your statement about your parents.

"Y/N who did that to your face, your boyfriend. It's okay if you don't want to talk about it, just know I'll do what I can to help," he said with sincerity. Taking a shaky breath, looking down at the ground.

"I'm not in a relationship Paul, never have been. This bruise is from my mom, I moved back home a few years ago to help her after my dad passed away from cancer and she's been a psycho since then. My friends say I'm the human punching bag, you would think at thirty, I would have learned my lesson." you say with a small laugh wiping the tear attempting to shed from your eye.

You could see Paul's hand's grip closed as if he was trying to release the anger that showed across his face. Staying silent for a moment trying to find a way to comfort you, this amazing person he just met a few hours ago, an instant connection.

He grabbed your hand looking you straight in your eyes "Y/N, I have no idea what that must be like to live like that day in and day out, no one deserves to live like that in a constant state of fear.I'm sorry this bruise is the outcome of your kindness."

You started to look for anything to get the conversation off of your horrible home life back to the positive vibe you guys had experienced the whole night.

"So Y/N what do you do besides working, and taking care of your mom, any hobbies?" Paul asked.

Laughing with a slight shrug, "I'm into photography mainly, I'll go for walks and take pictures of different things that strike me as cool, nothing really to write home about" you said.

Paul nodded " photography has always seemed interesting but I've always been the subject of the photographs, not the other way.

"Can I ask you another question Y/N?" Cautiously nodding afraid of what the question may be, thinking, learning the information about your family situation he may ask you to leave.

Clearing his throat " how is it that someone, from what I've gathered as caring and kind not to mention beautiful single, haven't found someone that just knocked you off your feet?"

Looking back at the ground the shyness you had felt again was back as you looked over you noticed Paul had not released your hand.

"I guess people don't see what you see, people really wouldn't want to get to know someone that doesn't want to have sex and leave anymore."

Looking up at him seeing a small smirk across his face. "What?" you asked.

"What if I wanted to get to know you"? he asked moving closer, letting go of the hand he was holding and wrapping his arm around you.

Leaning into his hold, you thought about the night's events and the words that had flowed right out of him like he was writing a song just for you. "I think I would be okay with that," you said looking up and hearing a slight sigh of relief coming from him, as you both smiled at one another staring at each other.

He wasn't sure if he could control himself, he meant what he said when he told you there was no pressure when he invited you to his room. It wasn't that kind of situation, those ended pretty quickly with girls whose names didn't matter. He brushed his hand across your face, hearing the hitch in your breath. He was done overthinking and willing to accept whatever may happen. He leaned down and pressed his lips to yours softly kissing you.

He pulled back looking at you waiting for some response that you were okay. "I meant it when I said there's no pressure with you being up in my room, I just couldn't help from kissing you and didn't regret it if you left," he said looking away red in the face like he was in some way embarrassed by his action.

You quickly grabbed his chin and pulled his face to yours, "Believe me it's okay" you say to him before crashing your lips into his. Sparks continued to ignite as each kiss got deeper. Finally pulling away from him to catch your breath, trying to collect your thoughts.

This night seemed to be like a dream that you almost wanted to pinch yourself to confirm it was all real. Not realizing Paul was looking at you, with the same thought running through his head, how could something like this happen so quickly but feel so natural.

He looked down at his watch and noticed the time, "Y/N did you realize it's 5:30 in the morning, Do you have to get to work soon?" He asked silently praying you didn't.

"Actually no I don't have work since it's the weekend, but I probably should be going so you can get some rest, don't you have to be up to leave soon?" You replied.

Getting up he went over to the counter to look at the daily planner, "According to this, we aren't leaving until 1 pm so you could stay. Again, no pressure and take a quick nap?" He asked.

Standing up from the couch you grab his hand, " It would be great to catch a small nap. It's been a very interesting day." Smiling, he leads you to his room. Both taking your shoes off before laying across the bed. He opened his arms to hold you, and you generously took the offer. Laying your head on his chest listening to the soft rhythm of his heart.

"I have to say Y/N this has been one of the best days/nights I've had on this whole tour, thank you." He says kissing the top of your head. All coming from you was the soft breathing letting him know you had fallen asleep.
