The sound of a phone ringing in the distance caused you both to stir. You felt Paul release his hold on you as he got up and moved to where the phone was. "Yeah?" he answered exhaustion in his voice.

Slowly you stretched and looked over at him. The memories of the night came flooding in. A terrible ended on such a high note. You had met Paul Stanley, a humble and kind man. Someone that had become an instant friend to you, and you wondered where it would go from here.

"Yes Gene I'm aware that we are supposed to be leaving today, I do get the same itinerary as you do every day, but we do have two days off. Can we not enjoy them for once?" He asked, looking over at you and smiled then turned back around.

" Let me check back in with you and I'll let you know in a few hours if I want to leave this afternoon okay?" He asked. You got up and headed to the bathroom to clean up and hear a few muffled exchanges. Hanging the phone up, he looked over at the bed noticing you had left the room. Leaning against the dresser, he thought over the night and was in no rush of leaving for the next town. He craved the need to learn more about you, something he hadn't felt since he and Evans mom had split up.

Hearing the water stop in the bathroom you walk back into the room. "Good Morning Y/N, how did you sleep?" he asked, hoping you weren't in a rush to leave.

"I slept well, probably better than I have in a long time". Nodding in agreement. " I'm going to shower and then I thought maybe we could grab a bite to eat and hang out for a little longer too. sound cool?" He asked you, holding his breath hoping your answer would be yes.

Butterflies hit you hard again in the stomach looking at him smiling at you. "I would be okay with that but I should probably go home and clean up, change clothes," you tell him though you honestly didn't want to leave, not knowing what you would walk into when you headed back to the prison that had become your home.

" You can shower here and wear one of my shirts, it's no issue," he said reaching into his bag handing you a simple black t-shirt.

You were both ready in 30 minutes walking to the elevators. "So where's a good place to grab food in this town, I didn't really have a chance to look around once we got here, we are pretty much on a time crunch once we get to the venue," He told you as the elevator doors opened, grabbing your hand as you both stepped in. Staying silent for a moment to think about it he pulled his shades down looking at you. " I'm thinking, man, give me a second" as you laughed

"there's a little diner just down the street from the bar that we were at yesterday, its decent food, and has awesome coffee." shrugging.

You both remain silent the rest of the way down to the lobby, though Paul never let go of your hand, both of you were lost in your own thoughts. Hitting the lobby Paul leaned over kissing your cheek.

"Alright Y/N this is your town so lead the way," he said.

You made it to the diner 15 minutes later, scanning the area you noticed the booth you usually sat at was opened."I like to sit as far back as I can and just watch the people coming in and out" you said taking a seat. Grabbing a menu he looked over and grinned." It's funny how much we have in common, "I like to watch people's reactions to things when they think no one is watching them." Nodding you looked down at your menu trying to decide what to order as the waitress approached. Taking in a huge breath noticing the person waiting on your section was one of your parents' oldest friends, but the town gossip. you looked at Paul " i want to apologize now for anything that is said in the next few minutes when the waitress gets to the table."

Before he could respond. " Y/N I usually don't see you here on the weekends and who's this good looking guy with you? Melissa asked. Paul extended his hand to introduce himself. "Melissa, this is Paul, Paul this is Melissa" You waited to see if she would catch on to who Paul was but prayed she would take your orders and move on. As usual, you never got what you wished for. " You know you look like one of those guys that's plastered all over Y/N walls at home from that band HISS or something." Looking over at you and winking " You know i do get that a lot, people ask me all the time if I'm related to that lead singer, but I think the band's name is actually KISS." You had to stifle yourself from laughing by quickly looking back down at your menu. You both quickly placed your orders and she moved on to the next table that had just been seated.

"That's a new one, HISS" Paul laughed. Wiping the tears from your eyes from laughing so hard " Maybe it's some cover band she's seen at the county fair or something, who knows with that woman." You say trying to catch your breath. Once your plates were brought to the table you both ate silent for a while, until you looked down at your watch noticing it was noon. " Hey aren't you supposed to be getting ready to leave in an hour? You asked. Taking a sip of his coffee looking at you, "Well we were supposed to leave at 1pm but I told Gene i would let him know when i was ready, why Y/N you already tired of hanging out with me?" Shaking your head you motioned to leave as you left money on the table for the bill and heading to the door waving at Melissa knowing that your mom was gonna know all the details, even though half of them wouldn't be the actual truth, and would definitely earn you another smack in the face. The fact was you didn't care as long as you had the memories of last night and today. " I really have no idea where to take you to now that would possibly bring any type of amusement.'' You noticed Paul looking around the area," how about that park over there? "we can sit down and talk some more and people watch" Taking his hand you headed in the direction of the park he had pointed at
