The Strong Woman

"She girds herself with strength,
And strengthens her arms." Proverbs 31:17

She claps her hands,

Her heart explodes,

With a love unexplainable,

A love that never grows old.

She felt the weight of the world surrounding her,

But she clung to His hands,

Never letting go.

Which is how she survived,

And made it through the storm.

In a time of darkness,

Her mouth ran dry.

The tears were her only words,

To the MAN in the sky.

After a rough season,

She opened her eyes.

Felt a strength she'd never felt before,

A strength that would never die.

Standing in the pulpit,

Eyesbrows raised.

She told the people her story,

Watched them give Him praise.

She licked her lips,

Sat the microphone down,

And gave Him the loudest praise,

Even if she looked like a clown.
