"Noona, I love you so much."
"I love you more."
"No way."
"Yes way. I'm so in lov-"

"BAMBAM!!!!!"
Startled, Bambam sat up in his bed, another daydream about his older brother's best friend ruined.

"WHAT IS IT?!" His mother's voice wafted up the stairs to call him to dinner. Grumbling, he obliged and stood to head down the stairs. This girl was his brother's best friend, but everyone knew that Bambam was absolutely in love with her. He headed down the stairs and into the kitchen, all the while still daydreaming about his lovely Noona and not realizing he was going to trip down the last step. A curse word leaves Bam's lips as he falls straight onto his face.

Bam's older brother [author: imagine Jackson] breaks out into hysterical laughter at his misfortune. Bam looks up only to see the love of his life there, also waiting for dinner.

"Hahaha, it can't be true!"
"I know, I know, it's embarrassing."

You were laughing with BamBam's older brother as you both waited for Bam to come down the stairs. To you, he was a cute kid and he always made you laugh, but it was a little too obvious how he felt about you. You could hear his footsteps as he walked down, but at the last step he tripped, falling onto his face.

The whole family, even the house, begins to rumble with laughter at Bam's fall. He shamefully gets up, cheeks red, head turned, and walks over to where everyone is trying to recuperate from the laughing spell.

"Yahh! It wasn't that funny!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAH YES IT WAS AHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAAH!"

Trying to stifle a laugh, you cover your mouth and BamBam's mother says "BAMBAM, look! Even the love of your life is laughing!" That only fuels the laughing more. Bambam turns an even brighter shade of red and the smile drops from your face.

"Well, this is awkward" you say as you try to make the mood of the room a bit more serious. Eventually, the laughing subsides and dinner is served. Bambam's older brother kept laughing to himself at the way Bambam gawked at you; barely able to focus on his food. After dinner, you were about to leave when Bam's older brother asked you if you wanted to hang out tomorrow with him.

"C'mon, just as friends. We've done this before, what's so new about it now?"

"Look, Jackson, we have been best friends for a long time, but honestly I don't want to hurt your little brother."

"He'll be fine-"

"Jackson, I'll text you later. Bye."

Ow. You got into your black Porsche that was parked in front of their house. While opening the driver-side door, you heard rapping and music floating from the open second-story window. A quick gaze upwards revealed Bam in his room, obviously oblivious to everything else.

Ha, you thought, this kid's kinda cute.

The next day at school, you saw Jackson and Bambam get out of their mom's car as you drive up behind them. Their mom waves to you, which you return charismatically and park on the opposite side of the street. After putting in headphones and starting to cross the street, you see a student walking ahead of you run.

You whip your head around to look at the street, but you're caught by headlights and the sound of a horn honking. A freezing sensation takes over your body and you begin to black out, but not before a pair of thin arms grab you and attempt to push you out of the way. You couldn't feel the cold asphalt on your legs or the blood running down your face. The only feeling you had was panic, as you witness BamBam's lifeless-looking body sprawled out on the pavement before you. That was enough to overwhelm you and everything grew foggy and thick, as you fell into a deep sleep. One you didn't think you would wake up from.

"Miss. Miss."

Someone stood over you, bright lights making everything blurry. "Miss. *Sigh*, thank heavens you're alright. We thought you were in a coma."

What the hell is he talking about? Memories of what happened that morning came back to you as panic settled in your mind. A croaky voice shot from your mouth: "BAMBAM!"
The nurses and doctors surrounding you held you down as you fought to get to him. "PLEASE, WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM, SOMEONE TELL ME PLEASE!" The doctors didn't know what to tell you, they shared glances and sighs.

"We are sorry, Miss. He is in a coma, there is a very small chance of his survival." Everything at that moment seemed to just......stop. Your arms and legs kept thrashing, but you couldn't feel anything. You thought your heart would stand still and your lungs would cease functioning.

Days later, which to you felt like an eternity, BamBam had finally shown signs of responding. The doctors were becoming optimistic about his survival and you were starting to slip out of your current Depression. When word finally reached you that Bam was going to be alright, it was his family that was there to tell you.

"Oh my god, thank goodness you are alright!" said Bam's mom as she caressed your cheek and held your hand. Jackson stood over you on the opposite side looking pale and fragile, "Jesus [y/n], you had all of us worried sick." A ghost of a smile passed over your features at Jackson's ever-so-prevalent older brother love for you. But the real question that was picking at your brain was that of BamBam's condition. Just as you were about to ask, Bam and Jackson's father walked into the room with a doctor you recognized from the time they told you Bam would not survive.

Nerves kicked in. Your pulse on the monitor began to race and sweat poured from you. The doctor looked up at you and said with a charming smile, "Relax. I'm not here to give you bad news, I promise." No one could ever understand the relief that washed over your persona. The whole room seemed to lift itself from its cold sterility and negative demeanor.

"Your son will be perfectly fine," he said to Bam's parents, "but, the only thing is that he cannot leave right now. He had a pretty serious concussion when the windshield slammed into him and also a fractured wrist, but he will make a full recovery. He is out of the coma and is asleep right now. Ma'am," he said to you, "if you wish to see him, you can do that now." Your eyes flicked towards his mom and dad. They both gave reassuring nods as you looked at the doctor who then unhooked you from the machinery and helped you stand.

"Do you need my help?" asked Jackson, starting to walk toward you, but you stopped him, you needed to do this alone. The doctor points you in the right direction and you follow his finger to find a spacious hospital room with a vulnerable, sleeping BamBam inside of it. It was a struggle to get to him, but when you did, you sat down next to him and held his hand. Although he probably couldn't hear you, you whispered in his ear, praying that when he would wake, he would still be there for you.

"Bambam, it's me. I know you're asleep and you aren't hearing me, but I want you to know that I'm here. I'm here next to you. And I never want to separate from you again. All that time I spent ignoring your love, I should have realized how you truly felt about me, that you were willing to risk your life to save mine. I'm sorry, so, so sorry. Please forgive me, please forgive me, and give me a chance. Give me a chance to show you the love you've shown me. Please." You reached forward and gave him a soft kiss on his still-soft lips. You then bury your head into the space between his elbow and chest and sigh, still praying that he would wake soon. You felt a hand reach to snuff your hair, and you look up to see Bam's tired eyes give you a loving look.

"BamBam-"

"No, [y/n], its alright. I heard everything you said and of course I will give you a chance, but you have to promise me something."

"Anything."

"I need you to promise me that you are not doing this out of pity or thanks. I need you to promise me that you're doing this because I might have a chance that you'll love me."

You smiled. He was still shy and self-conscious even after everything that had happened. "BamBam, I'm doing this because I think I love you. I know for a fact that I care about you, and I believe that one day, I will love you."

BamBam gave a smile and met you halfway to a kiss. You went the rest of the way and kissed him slowly, gently...hesitantly. When you both pulled back, BamBam looked at you through tearful eyes.

"I can't wait for that day."

A slight giggle escaped you.

"Me neither."
