Kiro played back the warm memory of this very moment as he looked down on the two tickets that had finally been delivered to him just yesterday. It was finally in his hands; the tickets to the new Batman Film that was premiering in London in a few weeks, and he bought an extra ticket for Constance Wright, the nerd he held close to his heart.
As he stood in-front of her office building he felt reminiscent and laughed at how a small bag of chips with a Batman card led to a chain of events that they now call their friendship. His heart was sure that he'd want Constance to go with him. He was deeply in love with her, and he knew that she was worth every penny he's spent on the second ticket.
What he's nervous about is asking her to go with him to the premiere. While he is confident in all that he does, for some reason it rattles him to do gestures that would show his love and appreciation for her. In the beginning he wrote it off as "just a friendly gesture", but as time stretched, he felt as though it was more than that.
He prays for a surge of confidence as he enters the office as quietly as he can to surprise Constance who was deeply concentrated with a report on the show's recent events. She is startled when two hands find their way onto her face, covering her eyes.
"Hey! I'm working!"
A dark voice responds "I am vengeance, I am the night..." it then clicks to Constance who the anonymous person is.
"Kiro!" She shouts
"No! Now I have to start all over again!" He whines immediately after she speaks, switching back to his impression of Bruce Wayne and making her laugh.
"I am vengeance... I am the night..." He pauses for a moment to add dramatic effect to his next words "I... am... Batman!" Constance suddenly feels shocks when he begins to poke at her sides making her jolt and laugh suddenly.
"Kiro...! Stop! We're in the office!" She smiles, Kiro hums and doesn't comply. After a few seconds of good tickling, Kiro then goes to hug her from behind. At this point, the office was unfazed by what was unfolding before them. Just a common visit to the office by one of the biggest stars in Loveland, nothing out of the blue. While they did admire Kiro, work was more important, they had no choice but to buzz about it after they were finished working.
"How are you Miss Chips?" He beams
"I'm fine! Just finishing up on this report!"
She stops to think "Why are you here anyways? I thought you were shooting a variety show episode? What happened?" Kiro's face falls as he hears her response.
"Oh... you don't want me here? I thought I'd drop by for a sec to tell you some extremely great news! But I see that you didn't wanna see me today so I'll just invite myself out of here..." He gives an exaggerated pout before taking slow steps away from Constance's desk, but she pulls him back by hand whining a slightly as she does.
"Kiro!! I'm just asking why you're here! Don't be such a drama queen!" Kiro laughs at my remark before finally giving her an answer.
"We finished shooting earlier than anticipated so I thought it'd be cool to show you..."
Kiro pulls out a ticket with Robert Pattinson's "The Batman",
"Oh wow! You pre-ordered a ticket to 'The Batman'—"
Kiro shook his head "Look again!"
Constance reanalyzes the ticket that Kiro was dangling before her, only to find that it was not just an early ticket to the film, but a ticket to the world premiere in Los Angeles, California.
"Oh my God! Are you serious? That's amazing!"
"Yeah! My agent managed to squeeze in a week off in my schedule and why not do that by gearing up to go to the premiere!"
"Good for you man! You're really living that high life." Constance was slightly jealous, wishing she could afford everything that Kiro had right now, her voice does not falter as she speaks supportively.
"Wait wait wait Con... it gets better!"
He gestures for her to keep her focus on the ticket as he quickly moves the ticket aside with his thumb to reveal... two tickets!
"Woah!" she gleams "Who's the lucky guy coming with you to the premiere?"
"I thought you would know already" he playfully pouts "but since you don't know quite yet who it is I'll give you a hint: She's generous and a bit of a dork... no wait! Scratch that! She's a total dork, but her sweetness redeems herself." Constance blush slightly, already having a proper idea as to who the lucky winner was. Kiki's voice from one of the other stalls shouts the answer for her "OH MY GOD CONNIE IS GOING TO THE PREMIERE WITH KIRO!" several people from the office shushed her in unison and silence fell once again.
The two friends find themselves embarrassed knowing that people have officially been eavesdropping on their conversation. Kiro laughs it off, now seemingly more nervous than he had anticipated.
He rubs the back of his neck awkwardly, still holding out the two tickets
"Uh... yeah--anyways... would you maybe... go with me?"
"Oh I would!" Constance exclaims "But I'm saving up for the company and going out of the country is really pricey."
"Oh right! Uh... I actually reserved a room for us to stay in already..." he hesitates at first but continues "and... everything is already paid for by B.S. Entertainment. You could just bring a little pocket money with you in case you wanna buy a souvenir!"
"Wow how nice of them!" She responds, but her face falters once again as she speaks "But I'm swamped with deadlines, I don't know if I'll be able to finish in time"
"Oh..." Kiro frowns too "no biggie... I--"
"We could all pitch in!" The same giddy voice from a while ago interrupts Kiro and Constance's conversation. When their eyes pull away to gaze at Anna, Willow, and Kiki who were now in front of their sight.
"The team was talking in the messenger group chat saying that they'd be willing to pitch in some time to help you out." Anna speaks once more
"But what about Victor? He might murder me if he finds out." Constance reasons
"I seriously doubt that." Willow chimes "Just file in a letter saying you'll be out for one whole week, he's been pretty understanding lately so I'm sure he'll at least consider it."
Constance thought shortly about the opportunity that was being given to her, it probably was about time that she went on a proper vacation.
"Alright then I'll go with you!" She tells Kiro, and Kiro lights up within a millisecond
"Sweet!" He exclaims before hugging you rather tightly, for a guy with a slender body type, he sure had a strong grip. He lets go of you and turns to the girls once again and bows thankfully. "Thank you so much!" he says.
"No problem! It's about time something would happen between the two of you."
Kiro shrugs this off quickly turning back to you "I can't wait to see what's in store for us in a few weeks!" and with that he bid the team farewell and left the whole office. As soon as he left, chatter roared swiftly among everyone in the building.
"Alright guys, show's over! Get back to work!" Anna yells and the swelling chatter comes to a fall.
But while everyone returns to what they were doing, Constance could not believe the incident that happened about just a moment ago. She mentally prays to all deities for it not to be a dream, and that no inconvenience will happen for a long while.
