Chapter Ten

The uneventful morning by the next day allowed Constance to sleep past ten in the morning. She had slept in for so long that she woke up at twelve noon. Her eyes opened rather quickly as she found herself completely energized by her extended rest.

After her morning stretch, she went outside of her bedroom to find Kiro switching through the television. Hearing your footsteps, he turns his head towards you "You must've been pretty exhausted for the past two days huh?"

"Totally worth it!" Her voice was still raspy from rest. She plopped down next to him. She was wearing a large sweatshirt

"Aren't you hungry?"

"Not really, I can grab brunch later..."

"No need! I ordered in for breakfast. I hope you don't mind." He gets up to place a tray onto the small coffee table in front of them.

"That's so sweet, thanks Ki!"

He smiled at the sound of his nickname "It's bacon, sausage, and eggs with a side of potato!" He said, earning an 'ooh' coming from the girl as she opened the platter. He rubbed his thighs and shrugged as he saw her reaction to what was on the plate. "I didn't really know what you'd like so I just ordered the same thing I had for you." Constance smiled.

"You're such a foodie!" she paused "...but I really appreciate it, thank you."

He shrugs once more before standing up to get his guitar to play some notes mindlessly out of boredom. Halfway into her food, she received a text from Willow.

Boss, how are you?

Constance put down the platter to converse with her

I'm fine. I just Kiro ordered brunch for me a little while earlier.

Just checking in to see if you bust out your swimsuit yet?

An embarrassed smile rose onto Constance's face before replying

No.

Y not?

I just woke up! I don't want to bother him after going to Disneyland with him!

You're not doing anything?

I'll be working for a bit then everything will be about chilling.

FOR GOD'S SAKE TRY TO DO AS MANY THINGS THERE WHILE YOU CAN

I WOULD'VE GONE TO THE BARS AND BEACH PARTIES IF I WAS ABLE TO GO THERE

She went on about wanting to go to California, ultimately annoying Constance to surrender.

FIIINE. I'll... bust out the suit.

She hides her phone and shyly, she fumbles with her phone before turning to Kiro.

"It's pretty hot. I was thinking we could go splash around by the pool since more people go to the beach anyways."

Taking Kiro by surprise, he quickly answers "You're lucky I packed my swimming trunks for the trip. But it's unfortunate I didn't bring my super soaker"

"Yeah. Really unfortunate" she says sarcastically before laughing and giving a playful push "I'll get changed?"

"Me too!"

She couldn't stop staring at herself. It's not as if the swimsuit she was wearing was unflattering. As a matter of fact, it hugged her curves just right. A sunset orange two piece with the top being slightly troublesome since she couldn't properly tie a knot from behind her neck. It took her about five minutes to knot the back. "Wow I'm such a loser for not knowing how to tie a simple knot behind my back" she mumbled rather jokingly before fixing herself and taking one last look at herself before pulling a dress-like sweatshirt over herself and pulling her short hair back into half a bun.
