Mattia POV- I woke up and it was 3 AM Alejandro was asleep in the second bed on the other side of the room so I just got up grabbed my wallet I opened it and took a picture out of it then I walked outside of the room, I sat on the floor outside of the room and looked at the picture, it was a picture of kairi my baby he was smiling in the picture... now all I could think of was how he's laying in that hospital bed in a coma I couldn't help it I started to tear up thinking of my baby maybe never waking up then I start praying I wasn't much of a believer and to think that God would forgive me after I just tortured a man but I wanted to have some hope and I felt like this was the only way I could so I started raising my voice and crying "please God please don't take my baby away.... he doesn't deserve this... It should be me on that bed not him... Please" then I heard the door open and it was Alejandro he kneeled down to me and patted my back and rubbed it and I just cried and leaned against him
Alejandro POV- I went outside because I heard crying and I heard pleading and it was Mattia he was looking at a picture of Kairi and bawling his eyes out, I knew that torturing jake wasn't going to help him be okay I mean it might make him feel better for a little while but it won't fix him he's broken I know it and we all know it but all I could do right now is support him and hope he gets through this. As he was leaning against me I noticed that the picture was turned over so the back of the picture was face up and on the back of it was a message that said (we're going to be together forever, and no matter what happens I'm going to keep you safe) I looked at it for a minute and it was Mattias handwriting, I couldn't help but to tear up a little bit because it was really sad I mean kairi is in a hospital bed while that note says I'm going to keep you safe I was upset but I tried not to show it because I have to be strong for mattia. The night went by fast and I ended up going to my bed while Mattia stayed out in the hallway I tried to get him to come in but he wouldn't... I knew it was going to be a tough time getting him through this but hey I have to he's my best friend
