Sapphires P.O.V.

It was so dark. I want to open my eyes but I felt like I needed to keep them closed a little while longer. I don't know what's happening, or where I am. All of the sudden I slipped back into oblivion.

I opened my eyes to a blinding light so I quickly snapped my eyes shut and groaned from pain.

I heard a deep chuckle and felt someone's hand tough mine. I shot up. Oh no.

I was in the car on the way home from bringing my older brothers Dean and Damien to the airport. They were twins and I loved them with all my heart so I was crying that they were leaving.they were leaving because my dad. They said they would be back one day. I was in the back seat sobbing when my parents started yelling at each other. All of the sudden my dad stopped the car and grabbed me from the back by my neck.

"I WILL SNAP OUR PRECIOUS DAUGHTERS NECK IF YOU TRY TO LEAVE! YOU AND HER ARE MINE, THE ONLY REASON DEAN AND DAMIEN LEFT ARE BECAUSE I DONT NEED THEM LIKE I NEED YOU GUYS, YOU GUYS MAKE MY MONEY! YOU ARE NOT LEAVING!" My dad screamed at my mom.

"DEREK PUT HER DOWN I WILL NOT LEAVE I WILL STAY, PLEASE! I ONLY WANTED TO LEAVE BECAUSE YOUR SELLING OUR DAUGHTER TO STRANGE MEN! PLEASE DONT DO THAT TO HER, ILL DO IT JUST LEAVE HER ALONE! PLEASE!" my mom had tears streaming down her face.

My dad threw me to the back seat. I sat there in a ball against the door crying with my mom trying to reach for me but I flinched away. My dad started driving again and we were home in a few minutes. My mom grabbed my hand and pulled me to me and my brothers room. She keeled to my hight and hugged me. When she pulled away she had tears in her eyes.

"Sapphire, no matter what happens don't trust your dad. He is dangerous and will never change. I love you sweetie"

By now we were both crying our eyes out.

"Here take this"

She pulled out some money from her back pocket and a small silver item.

"Here is some money just in case something happens" she gave me the money.

She held the silver item in her hand that I know realize was a ring.

"Take this, it's been in our family for generations and it has so many memories, don't ever lose this. I love you so much baby, don't ever forget that"

She hugged me and we sat there for a few minutes crying and holding each other.

She put the ring in my hand and kissed my forehead and walked out of the room. I heard her and my dad screaming. Then it all stopped. I poked my head out of the door and saw my mom on the ground and my dad was punching her over and over. She wasn't trying to block at all. She wasn't moving.

I ran to them.

"DADDY STOP PLEASE STOP HURTING MOMMY PLEASE DADDY SHE IS NOT MOVING DADDY STOP!!!"

He looked at me and stopped. He grabbed my mom's wrist and a look of sorrow crossed his face. He started dragging her across the floor leaving a trail of blood. I hit his leg telling him to leave her alone. Once he stopped he was outside and walked to the shed. I hugged my mom tightly with tears pouring out of my eyes. My ten year old hands went to her face moving her hair away.

"Mommy?"

"Wake up"

"Mommy, please wake up."

"You can't leave without me!"

"MOMMY!!?!!!"

I lay my head on her stomach with her shirt balled up in my tiny fist. I started sobbed.

My dad came back and I lashed out on him hitting him and yelling.

"WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO MOMMY! SHE ISNT WAKING UP! WHAT DID YOU DO!?"

He played no attention and grabbed me and threw me in the house and closed the glass door. I sat and watched as he dug a whole and put my mom in it and started burying her. I was banging on the door crying yelling for him to stop but it was no use.

I ran to the front of the house and ran across the street were the nice neighbors lived. I didn't bother to knock and just ran in.

"HELP MY DADDY HURT MY MOMMY AND SHE ISNT WAKING UP PLEASE HELP MY MOMMY!"

I sat on the floor and took the ring that was in my pocket and held it to my chest.

The neighbors asked what was wrong and I told them. They called the cops and the cops took my dad. I ran to were they were digging up my mommy. I ran to her but two hands picking me up taking me away. I screamed and kicked but it was no use. I was put in a cop car. I still had the ring held tightly in my hand. A single tear slipped as we drove off.

I felt two arms wrapped around me so I started flipping out and thrashing around. They let go and I jumped up out of the bed I was in and went to the corner and curled up in a ball and started crying.

I felt a hand on my knee and I flinched.

"It's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you. I promise."

I slowly looked up to a pair of gorgeous blue eyes. I instantly realized who it was.

"A-a-andy B-b-biers-s-sack?" I stuttered.

"The one and only" he said with a small smile on his face.

That's when I felt it. The pain.

My head was throbbing, it felt like someone was hitting me over and over with a baseball bat. My ribs were on fire, so we're my wrist. The rest of my body was in pain but not as bad as my head and wrist. I sat there holding my head with one hand and wrapped my other arm around my ribs. He noticed I was in pain and walked out of the door. I realized I was in the hospital so he must of went to go get a doctor. He came back not even 2 seconds later with an old man with glasses and a white coat on. I know him, he is my doctor.I called him by his real name, Henri. He walked over to me and helped me up and over to the bed were I layed down.

"Sapphire, I assume you haven't been taking your medication after what just happened."

I looked at him and shrugged my shoulders. I'm still in so much pain and just want to sleep.

"Get some rest and we will talk about everything when you wake up. Okay?"

I nodded.

He walked out but Andy stayed. He sat in the chair and looked at me.

"Your eyes are the most extraordinary thing i have seen in my life"

I realized my contacts were out. I closed my eyes tightly and put my hands over them. The only person who knows about my eyes is Henri. He was my only friend.

"What are you doing" he said

I just shook my head.

"Ok we will talk about it when you wake up."

I looked up at him confused.

"I'm staying here so I will be here when you wake up now go to sleep"

I was still confused but I was to tired. I just layed down and fell into an uneasy but deep sleep.
