"So I may or may not like Josh"
My heart stopped. She knew I liked Josh. I had mixed emotions. One part of me was like 'she is your best friend and you should just feel happy for her'. But another part of me was like 'why would she do this to me if she knew I liked him first.'
"Are you ok Kayleigh" She asked. I forgot she was still on the call.
"Why?" I asked.
"Why what?" by the tone of her voice I knew she was confused as hell. To be honest so was I.
" Why do you like him?"
"Kayleigh, he is one of the most amazing guys any of us have met. And any girl would just fall under his spell. And it looks like I have too"
"But you knew I liked him. You knew I had liked him for quite some time. So explain why my best friend is going to go behind my back and do this to me."
"Hey just because you like him doesn't mean nobody else can like him. He is not a prize to be won remember."
"You really went there"
"I really did."
"Liv I can't be bothered arguing with you so this conversation is over."
"And so is this friendship."
"You're really not gonna be friends with me over a boy?" I scoffed.
"Yep I mean this is what it's about right?"
"Ok then if you wanna play that game. We can."
And with that I ended the call.
