This isn't an update and I'm really sorry if I made you think it was.

I just feel the need to say something based on the recent happenings.

It's honestly so saddening how no matter how much people talk about rape and the outrageousness of it, there will still be rape.

A lot of books I've read make it some kinda duty to point out how bad rape is but what has changed? NOTHING; not a single thing.

I don't even know what to make of the events of the past few days. It's like people have lost their humanity. They no longer find the wrong in hurting others. It's sickening and at the same time scary that it could be anybody. Today it's Uwa, the next day, Lord knows who.

While we earnestly wait for the government to do their thing; taking the drastic measures and all, I would also encourage the ladies among us to be our own security. Learn self-defense like the girl from Operation Falling by MzzHikmah01 . I don't even know how that'd happen but let's just try to hold some kind of personal protection at all times.

Maybe we can't learn how to throw punches, a can of pepper spray would do a lot at emergency times. Idk, I'm just saying sha. Let's protect ourselves from these heartless savages any way we can and at the same time, pray to God to shield us from every kind of danger.

And if you're of a boy/man and you're currently reading this, please I beg you, let's have sense ehn. Let's not allow konji of five minutes ruin the entire future of a girl. It's not worth it. I also implore to you to speak up for the women. The women have been speaking up for a very long time now. Join in on this. Preach the #SAYNOTORAPE among your fellow guys. You may not know it but it'd go a very long way.
