Chapter 6: The reveal

Zeldris looked at me for a few seconds then laughed.

"Very funny Y/N, very funny." I looked into his eyes with a serious face and he soon realized, I wasn't joking.

"You're not joking. You're a sin??" He said, his face becoming more and more serious by the second.

"I'm not. And yes, I am. Look, I was branded with a mark just like them." I showed him my hand with the sin mark on it and he went silent. For a few seconds he didn't move. Or didn't say anything. In fact, with each second passing, I grew more worried.

"..Zeldris..? Are you okay?" I reached out to touch him, but instead of letting me touch him, he smacked my hand away.

"So your a sin. I should've known from the very beginning. That sword you carried around when we first met was suspicious in it self but I didn't think you were a sin. You do know what this means don't you. We are enemies." He backed away and glared at me. For some reason. Deep in my heart I knew that this would happen. I didn't think it would be so soon.

"L-listen Zeldris. I know what your thinking and I'm so sorry I lied to you. I just don't think that it's a good idea to get mad-" Zeldris growled and drew his sword and pointed it towards my throat. I lifted my hands in surrender.

"Mad, mad?! You think I'm mad Y/N?! I'm pissed why on earth would you lie to me?! I don't even know why I feel this way why am I so angry? I don't want to hurt you. And yet. I might have too, since you are my enemy as one of the sins. From this day forth you will not approach me or any of the commandments. I don't want to hurt you whatsoever." Zeldris's glare wavered, for a split second, he looked hurt. But then his glare returned. He put his sword back into the sheath and began to walk away.

Something in me was screaming at me, screaming at me to go after him, hug him, tell him you were sorry and that you never meant for him to be deceived, and yet another part wanted him to think it over. You were conflicted. Before you knew what was going on, you cried out to him, on the verge of tears.

"Zeldris!!" You yelled, making him stop in his tracks, but didn't turn around to face you.

"I know we're enemies but I would love to get to know you. Zeldris please know that I don't want to hurt you. Ever." You looked down towards the ground and you waited for a reply. You looked up at him with a pleading look and he was looking over at you with a sad expression. Something told you that Zeldris didn't make faces like that very often. You didn't move. You couldn't. You just stood there as you watched him walk away.

          -Time skip- 3rd P.O.V

You were approaching the tavern when you were greeted by a small Diane.

"Hey Y/N!! How'd your date go?" She smiled at you but then saw how down you looked and she frowned, not saying anything else. Ban came out of the tavern, yawning, when he suddenly saw you and smiled. He lazily approached you.

"Heeeyy Y/N, how'd your date do? I'm sure it went well?" Your frown got deeper and for some reason, you felt like crying. Ban also started frowning as he saw your facial expressions. Apparently you already were as Diane gasped.

"Y/N, your crying. Who hurt you?! I swear whoever hurt you is gonna pay!" She cracked her knuckles and you giggled while wiping a few tears away.

"No it's okay Diane. No violence okay? Only cuddles. Huggies." You opened your arms and your hands like a little kid asking for a hug and Diane rushes over to you, consoling you as you shed a few tears. Ban approached you as well, hugging you from behind and slowly patted your head while Diane hugged you from the front. You were glad to have friends like them. You sort of needed them right now.
