another ship i really like that could easily be canon. my love of this ship mainly comes from the one time i played sonic adventure 2, and it was in the cutscene where knuckles saved rouge from falling into the lava. it showed their canon relationship as them normally not getting along, but showed that knuckles also cares about rouge. as for ages, knuckles is 16 and rouge is 18, so this works.

edit - also that cutscene shows that rouge cares about knuckles because she gives him the master emerald pieces she'd collected to help him instead of keeping them for herself.
