i don't hate it, but i don't love it either. some of the fan art i've seen is cute, some... hmmm... (hopefully you see where this is going) and some fanfics take it waaaay too far sometimes. i like the whole idea of them together as sonic being the happy hero and shadow being the depressed anti hero, but the main thing wrong with it is their age. sonic is 15 and shadow is 50! yeah, that's wrong. even though shadow is 18 and doesn't physically age, he was still made 50 years ago, making him still 50.
