Once the sun had risen, you've walked around the Woodland Realm two times.
You take a deep breath and close your eyes, loving the way it smells.
"Y/N!" You hear Legolas screaming. Your eyes pop open. Fear spawns in your body and you start running. "What is it?" You ask, voice shaking.
"Y/N!" He yells again, coming into view. His eyes are frantic and he looks harrowed. He reaches you and grab your shoulders. "Do you have the baby?" He asks, panicking.
"N-no, but-" You start.
"He's gone! He's not in his cradle. Y/N, what are we going to do?" He asks, grief etched on to his face.
You take Legolas's face in your hands. "Legolas, your father wanted to hold our son for a while. Thranduil has our son, he's watching him." You state. In an instance the grief and panic are gone. They're replaced with relief.
"Oh...oh." He breathes, falling into your arms. "I guess I overreacted." He says, wrapping his arms around you tightly.
You smile and pat his back. "That's alright." You say.
"I was just worried." He says.
"Legolas, I understand. You're a new father, it would worry me as well if I didn't know where our child had gone." You say.
Legolas pulls away slightly, his arms still around. He kisses you deeply. "Thank you." He says.
"For what?" You ask.
"For being the most beautiful and caring wife in the world." He says, pulling you against him.
~
You walk to Thranduil's room, Legolas holding your hand.
He knocks on the king's door. "Adda, it's Y/N and I." He says.
"You can come in." Thranduil calls.
Legolas opens the door to his father's room.
Thranduil is sitting on his bed, your baby in the middle of the bed, wiggling. Thranduil chuckles and the baby coos.
He looks up at you and Legolas. "He's so precious. I love him so much." He says, grinning. He looks to Legolas. "Your mother would've loved him, son." He adds. Legolas nods. Thranduil looks between you and Legolas. "I'm so proud of you both. You're going to be wonderful parents to your son. He's a lucky child." He comments.
"Thank you." You and Legolas say in duo.
"And Legothrean is very lucky to have you as a grandfather, my king." You say.
Everything is suddenly, even the baby stops making noise. Legolas and Thranduil stare at you.
"What do you think, Legolas? I wanted to know him something close to your name. And I think Legothrean does justice." You say, looking to your husband. You watch his face and find no emotions. "If you do not like it, we can find something else." You say, worriedly.
Suddenly, Legolas's eyes fill with tears. "That's a wonderful name." He breathes, pulling you into his arms.
"I, too, think it fits well." Thranduil says.
"Oh good. I'm so glad you both like it." You sigh, relieved.
Thranduil picks up your son. "Legothrean. It's a cute name, isn't it?" He asks the baby.
The baby looks around the room, his blue eyes wide. He squeals and coos, placing his hand in his mouth.
"I guess he likes it...?" You say, laughing. Legolas kisses your temple. "He likes it." He replies, grinning.
[THE END] I hope you liked it!
