I look down at Karkat. He's cuter than when I last saw him. He doesn't reply to my last comment so I say something else, in order to make the situation less awkward

"so kitkat what are you doin out here in the rain?"
"IM JUST WALKING AROUND, WHY DOES IT MATTER TO YOU?"
" I just wanna know sheesh don't get so defensive "

He rolls his eyes. A smile spreads across my face

" sooooooo Vantas? Since you're here n all, you wanna go catch a movie? "
"WHAT? FUCK NO WHY WOULD I WANT TO WITH YOU "
" kitkatttttttt cmonnnn its a bro thing~!"

I whine, hoping he'll actually say yes. Takes a few more whines to break him down into saying yes

"GOD OKAY FINE JUST STOP ACTING LIKE SUCH A WRIGGER!"
"Yay it's a date then"
"WHAT?! NO"
"What. Yes"
"DONT MOCK ME!"
"Okay just chill and lets go see a movie. I'll pay alright?"
"YEAH FINE WHATEVER"

I grin buti practically have to drag the reluctant Karkat for a while, but stopped after a bit and started walking beside me.

"Which movie you wanna see?"
"WELL ID PREFER A ROMCOM BUT THATS NOT TO YOUR LIKING"
"Yeah romcoms aren't my thing. They are WAY to romancey. But I'll sit through one if it'll make you happy"
"REALLY?"
"Yes really. Sweet we're here so you can look at the now playing board and I'll get tickets to whichever one sounds good"

Karkat hums a response at me as we approach the ticket box. I watch as Karkat turns his head to look at the board and one catches his eye easily.

"THAT ONE"
"really? You made your decision quickly"
"I CAN JUST TELL WHICH ROMCOM IS THE BEST BY ITS TITLE"
"Weirdo"
"SHUT UP"
"Nah"

I go up to the lady behind the glass window. She immediately straightens up

"Hello sir what movie would you like to see?"
"Two tickets for ______ ((couldn't think of movie)) at 4:25"
"Okay, here you go"
"Thanks"

I turn to Karkat who goes inside the doors as soon as I get the tickets. God he's so snotty at times but I can't help but like him. He's so cute. Shit I gotta focus here. Don't duck this chance up. I walk in after Karkat and give my tickets to the man who takes them.

"Go to theatre 6 on the left"
"Kay thanks"

I look at Karkat who was eyeing the popcorn.

"You wanna get some?"
"HUH OH SURE"
"You sound a bit nervous. What's up?"
"NOTHING"
"Now kitkat if nothing was up then it'd be raining on us"
"SMARTASS"
"As I've been told"

He rolls his eyes and I bring him over to the popcorn station. The guy smiles at is both

"What'll it be"
"One large popcorn"
"Okay coming right up"

I glance at Karkat who was watching the man scoop the popcorn and place it in a large container. He looked so cute and god I can't help it. Keep my cool. I end up chuckling which alerts Karkat that I'm staring

"WHAT?"
"Nothin man. It's just that you looked so content watching"
"WELL IS THAT A BAD THING?"
"Nah your just so cute when your focused on something"
"I AM NOT!!"
"You are too"
"ARE NOT"
"Are too, now we aren't going to have this argument. The movie is about to start so stop your whining and lets go"

I take Karkats hand and the popcorn container and go to the man that I pay at. I give him three bucks and a two dollar tip before hurriedly dragging Karkat to the movie.

"STOP DRAGGIMG ME!"
"Then will you walk?"
"IM FULLY FUCKING CAPABLE OF WALKING"
"then do it"
"GOD FINE"

he starts walking beside me to theatre 6. As soon as we get to the door, I open it for him and he hums at me as a thanks. I smile and walk in after him

"Where you wanna sit?"
"ANYWHERE WE CANT BE SEEN TOGETHER "
"ouuh kinky kitkat"
"I DIDNT MEAN IT LIKE THAT!"
"Mhm sure"

I chuckle and bring him up to the highest seats. Also it's the darkest area of the theatre. He sits down right beside me. Oh yes. Time to pull my smooth strider moves.
After about 10 minutes into the movie, I wrap my arm around him and I could feel him tense up at my touch.
"W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING"
"Just relaxing"
"DO YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR ARM THERE?"
"yeah I do"

He goes quiet and I chuckle.

I stand up and I can't help but tell him. It's eating at me. I have to

"Hey um Karkat?"
"WHAT?"
"So I kinda....like you"
"IN A BRO WAY RIGHT?"
"more than a bro way"
"Y-YOU MEAN LIKE A FLUSHED WAY....?"
"if flushed means I like you and I want to date you then hell yeah "

He goes quiet. Oh shit did I fuck up. Nononononono
