𝐈 𝐃𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐘 bag onto the couch before I moved throughout my house. The gang had told me to meet them at John B's in a few hours, so we could figure out how to get the gold. Most of the group went back to their place to change or grab something to eat, and I knew that John B went to find Sarah.

I wasn't against her joining the search, but I didn't understand why she needed more money. I mean, her family is loaded, which might also draw out a problem for the group, mainly Kie. I walked into the kitchen, not expecting anything or anyone to be home at this time. With my mom at work, my place should've been empty... and Rafe shouldn't have been standing in the middle of my kitchen.

My eyes widened as I stared at the boy, not exactly sure what to say, "What are you doing here?" I half-asked, half-stammered.

"I don't know-- this was-- I shouldn't have come," He rambled as he held his wrist to his chest. I moved closer to him and took his hand in mine, comfortingly. He winced and my focus immediately switched to his arm.

A bright pink burn was scarring over his forearm. The skin was slowly peeling and I could tell that this was recent. "What happened to your arm?" I asked him as I brought him over to the kitchen table.

"It doesn't matter," He mumbled and I moved my hand to his cheek as he sighed, "Barry,"

"You mean the guy you--" I stopped myself, still not sure how I felt about Rafe and his coke addiction. I knew that he was struggling with it, but I didn't know that Barry was now becoming an issue.

"I owe him for the party... and I still haven't found enough money," He confessed and I frowned.

"You..." I sighed, knowing that we were going to have his talk sometime or another, "Rafe, coke isn't good for you, okay. Look what it's doing to you, physically and mentally,"

He pulled away, "No, I can't, I can't," He tried and I gave him a sad look. "It helps me, y/n, it does," He begged as he ran his good hand through his hair.

"How about," I opposed as I moved closer to him, "We bandage up your arm and I drive you home. You can get some rest," He nodded softly and I pressed a kiss to his forehead before heading towards my room.

I walked into the connecting bathroom and dug under the shelf for a first-aid kit. I finally pulled out the red bag and zipped it open. I made sure that the bandages and polysporin were still there before heading back to Rafe.

I set the bag down and re-opened the lid before grabbing the needed materials. "Can you tell me exactly how this happened?" I asked him softly, knowing that I didn't want to push him too much.

"Well, I was outside... doing stuff... and Barry came over, demanding I pay him," He remembered as I added a small dab of polysporin to his burn. He winced at the substance and I gently spread it around his forearm. "And I didn't have his money... so he burned me against my motorcycle,"

I wiped my hands on a paper towel before wrapping a bandage around his arm. "Did he leave after?" I questioned and he nodded.

"With my bike," He sighed, "And then he told me I've got three days," I sat down in the chair next to him and ran a hand through my hair, trying to tame the frizzy mess.

"We'll find a way to get the money, okay? Just please, try and stay out of Barry's way till then," I suggested and he nodded. I gave him a small smile as he leaned forwards, giving me a small kiss as his good hand landed on my cheek.

I kissed him back as I leaned towards him. His hand ran down my side and landed on my waist, giving it a small squeeze. "Are you sure you need to take me home?" He whines quietly into my ear and I chuckled softly.
