Levi POV

I can't believe what I'm hearing. 

"IM DEAD!"

"no Levi you're not dead"

"wait wait wait start over"

as y/n tells me what happened again for the 3rd time I'm still in utter shock. how could she? no why did she? maybe I wanted to die. oh god please help me.

y/n POV

after telling Levi again I can tell he hasn't fully comprehended what happened to him. its common though. when someone first turns into a vampire they go though a shock faze where they can't believe it happened and it all feels like a dream. it can affect the person for different lengths of time depending on who they are.

"so since in the one who turned you I'm your "mother" or "parent" vampire witch means it's my responsibility to teach you how to survive.

"Are you sure I'm not dead!"

"Yes Levi if you were dead I couldn't be talking to you"

"My body feels weird it feels lighter"

"that's normal, you have less blood in you than when you were "alive""

"oh, so I am dead!"

"no its called alive because your heart was producing blood"

"wait what! so what does it do now!"

"well, nothing really"

"what do you mean nothing!"

"as in nothing, it's just an organ that sits there"

"I-I don't feel so good"

"don't panic but-"

Levi throws up over the side of the wagon

"well ill guess you figured it out" Levi looks at me with the most horror I've ever seen. blood dripped from his mouth.

"I-I threw up...."

"yes, it's common after you've been transformed to get rid of all the excess-"

"BLOOD"

"yes, your body doesn't need that much so you throw up what you don't need"

Levi sits with his panic taking control I can see it in his eyes.

"Levi"

no answer

"Levi"

again I receive no answer

"LEVI"

he just stares at me blankly.

"I know it's hard to wrap your head around it but this is your life now"

"everyone will die" he finally says

"what do you mean"

"don't vampires live forever. everyone around us will die"

"that is true that's why you need to think of humans as animals. just like how we outlive our pets we outlive humans"

"even though I'm not close to anyone in the survey corps except Erwin, I would still hate to see them all die"

"that's the life of a vampire. your still young so I wouldn't worry about it much till they are gone."

"tch, so if your the "mother" teach me how to live"

"I can't teach you everything at once its way to much info, we start small. we start with the basics. feeding."

"I'm not drinking from a human"

"who says you have to, remember when I drank from the blood bag? we will start with that."

"but its still blood"

"you will painfully fade away if you don't drink"

"tch"

"plus the amount of extra blood you threw up you're far from being ready to feed, your body is still adjusting."

"so what now"

"so you will need to get used to your "new" body. you will notice you will feel lighter and need to use less energy to walk and do tasks. your reaction time will improve by 150%. you will need to learn to control your new speed and strength before you hurt someone."

Levi just stares at me with his steel-grey eyes

"do you understand? when we get back we have to work on your strength right away because you could rip a door right off its hinges without even trying. the state your in now is new to you so we need to work with it slowly."

"I feel like I need to sleep"

"that's normal. your body has used a lot of energy to transform. sleep Levi you'll wake up soon enough"

he laid down and closed his eyes. I watched the rise and fall of his chest. he was out like a light. to tell the truth I'm super scared I've never transformed anyone before. what if it goes wrong what if he goes rogue and I have to kill him!? He does look peaceful when sleeping. I reached over and brushes some of his hair out of his face. I must say I'm pretty pumped for someone without a pulse.

back at HQ

"y/n" Erwin called to me

"yes sir" I say soluting him

"hows Levi doing"

"for someone who just transformed fine sir"

"what's the next step"

"that would be training him to his new strength. he can seriously hurt somebody because he uses extra strength. being a vampire means using less energy to move and pick up things. the way you humans walk and do things take significantly less energy which is why if he tries to do it normally he could hurt himself or others, not to mention cause damages."

"I trust you will take care of him"

"yes sir, right now his body is exhausted because of the transformation. he's passed out in the wagon"  

Erwin went over to the wagon and picked up Levi

"he feels almost weightless, I knew he was small but I didn't know he weighed this little" he laughs.

"where should we take him?"

"to his room, you said he needs rest correct, well if there's nothing to be worried about I see no reason to bring him to the infirmary"

as we walk to Levis room I start to feel anxious again. the most major concern is what if he goes rogue. rouge vampires are vampires that have been transformed and have rejected their new vampire side. after a while on refusing to drink they go crazy and go on a murderous rampage with anyone or any living thing in sight. they don't really need to feed because their body will shut down but it's not fun to have to put one down. it's not fun to see a new vampire lose itself.  that's why I must do everything possible to make sure he won't end up like that.

"I will leave him in your care y/n" Erwin said setting him down on his bed.

"yes sir he will be up and about soon enough feel free to stop by anytime"

"thanks, y/n I am glad your here"
