The Dexters (The actual ones) were flying towards Pallet Town. The professor had called to talk to them. Crystal, which was the one thing that the majority of the fire users were fearing, was out in the field. They arrived and went in. Professor Oak had a big smile on his face.
"Well well well... if it isn't the Dexters! Or what's here of it." Green rubbed his head sheepishly as the others giggled. "Come inside! We have much to discuss."
They went in and saw Bianca and Cheren working on something. They almost didn't notice them until Black swung his arms around them. They jumped in surprise. The others giggled before following the professor into another room.it was the meeting room that the lab had for personal meetings. The professor made sure to lock the door.
"I'm so glad that I get to see the group mostly together. Who are we missing?"
"We only have 4 grass users, so we'll need to gather the rest of them." Indigo said with a small smile.
"And a fire user." Green said immediately afterwards. The others looked at him in confusion. He didn't seem interested in answering as he stared off.
"Okay then..." Yellow said softly. She then turned to the professor. "What did you need?"
"Other than to see how the group was coming along? I was hoping to do a full Dexter meeting, but not everyone is here." He had sadness in his voice. The others looked down at the table.
"Professor!" Cheren's voice exploded into the lab. Something was wrong. Oak slipped out to talk to her. The room went quiet for a moment as he came back. Panic was written across his face.
"Crystal..." Gold and Silver locked eyes before running out. The young assistant was on the couch with a cold washcloth on her face. She was covered in wounds. Cheren was wrapping her arms up. Purple, Moon, and X were leaning against a wall. They didn't look any better.
"What happened?" Lime ran over to him, who was shaking.
"It hit so fast..." Purple murmured faintly as he tried to stay awake. He wasn't very successful as he passed out shortly after those words.
"Purple? What hit so fast? Purple!"
Tears ran down her cheek as she shook him. Mimag appeared and touched its wand against his head. A soft glow covered him, healing him. It then floated over and did the same thing to the other three. Black chuckled behind Indigo, who went red.
"Hush you!" He snickered as Mimag glanced over. Indigo just waved to it and it continued its work. She sighed and glared at him as he started whispering to her.
"Indigo and Mimag, sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G." She hit him over the head, which made him laugh. "Admit it!"
"You're sounding like someone else I know!" The duo paused and glanced around. "And he's not here!" He giggled.
"Ok Indigo." Green sighed.
"Kids these days." Black smirked and went over and whispered something in his ear. His face went red. "Black!" Black grinned.
"The shipper's not here to do his job. So someone has to take over for a while." Indigo and Green groaned.
"This is going to be a long while before he comes back..."
While the four grass users didn't wake up right away, they were able to get information about what happened. If you ask anyone but Lime, the note was from a ghost. If you asked her, all she would say was Purple did it. The note read:
"To those who read,
These three had collided in Viridian Forest, where they broke into an argument. They were about to start an actual fight when a mysterious figure interrupted them and tore them apart. They were forced to join forces to try and attempt to win, however, they were not successful as you may guess. The opponent destroyed them almost instantly, giving them no time to recover. Thanks to Crystal's Arcanine, X's Kangaskhan, Moon's Decidueye, and Novilia; they were able to get away from the opponent and recover. They barely got here to the lab as the person was consistently attacking them and barely giving them a chance to even do anything. They were almost killed if I didn't step in and saved them. It was only then did they finally get peace. If I didn't step in there, they wouldn't be in front of you like they are now. I also made sure to get them to the doorstep and knocked so that they could get treated immediately. You are welcome for that. As for the opponent, I couldn't tell as they were incredibly fast and very clean in their attacks and dodges. I apologize for the bad information. But I hope that you can help them. The only thing I got was after I had finished the person off, a note had appeared in their spot. I had left it in Purple's pocket just in case you wanted to take a look at it.
Thank you and have a great day.
Shandowa.
The group was stunned. Lime gulped before speaking.
"Thank you, Shandowa... much appreciated." She slipped her hand into Purple's pocket and pulled out the note.
"A dance.
A silhouette.
A wallflower.Every beat.
Every harmony.
Every step.The wind that hums.
The hearth that sings.
The feather that sighs. All just a Riddle."
A hiss escaped Sun and Velvet, almost on point.
"Emmerez." They said at the same time. The others stared as they glanced at each other.
"I'm sorry, who?" Yellow asked, confused.
"Our sister." Velvet mumbled.
"And a member of The Fang." Sun hissed sharply.
"The one person that knows how to piss someone off without doing that much." Velvet replied.
"Who also knows how to wipe an enemy army in seconds." Sun responded instantly.
"The girl that knows her way around the world better than anyone else." Velvet countered.
"The shithead that plays with just about everyone's head." Sun fired.
"The same shithead that knows more ways of pain than the world will ever learn." Velvet grumbled swiftly.
"The only person in the world that could pull this off!" Sun practically finished. The two siblings sat down with a huff. Green looked around the room.
"I've always wondered why Red is a grass type while these two are fire." The room lost it as the two siblings tried to make a comeback. It was hilarious. At least Crystal woke up to it.
"What's going on?" The room froze. Gold went over and touched her shoulder. She looked up at him. "Gold?"
"Hey..." He helped her sit up. She looked around.
"Why's everyone so worried?"
"Crystal..." Silver gulped. "You and those guys got attacked." Her eyes followed his gaze to the other three grass users. Her eyes widened.
"No..." She tried to stand up, but Gold held her down. "The other blades..." The others looked at each other. "The attacker said that they were going to attack them!" Sun and Velvet locked eyes. "I need to be out there! I-" She cried into Gold's chest. A soft voice echoed through the air.
"Well... there's a way to reenter the fight."
The room went quiet as Crystal spoke nervously.
"H-how...?"
Smoke drifted from Purple's side and floated over to her. It held out her pokedex.
"That's if you're in."
She took a steady breath before reaching out and grabbing it. The smoke then drifted back over and vanished from view. Lime looked at Forest as she spoke.
"And we thought Pink was nuts."
"Nope. He definitely wins this one."
"What was that?" The Torren and Holon Dexters fell silent upon those words.
"Nothing." They said quickly before glaring at Indigo, who shrugged.
"Don't. You'll actually make it." They scoffed and looked away. She smirked. "So... Lime... how's your boyfriend?"
"My boyfriend?"
"Ya know... Purple?"
Her face heated up. Indigo grinned as she started stuttering. Apparently she wasn't ready for that and didn't have anything prepared. The others laughed at that.yellow paused.
"We should try and reach out to the other grass users. Since they're in danger." Green nodded.
"And we need to do it soon. Cause whether they're with us or not, they'll get hurt."
