Goofy Love

Chapter two

Alex's POV

       I'm snapped out of my thoughts when the bell rings. I hear whole bunch of cheers and yells throughout the halls as I pack my stuff. Everyone's trying to get out the school as soon as possible. And some are getting their yearbooks signed. I never get asked cuz I'm kind of an outsider here. That's why I'm excited for the summer. And for high school to finally be over. I'm moving in with my childhood best friend, Zack.
         I've known him since 3rd grade. That was until I moved. From Minnesota to Indiana. He was there when my parents were going through they're rough patches and the divorce. I still remember the heated rants that my third grade self would tell him. He always patted my back and told me everything was gonna be okay and that everything happens for a reason.
         I miss him. I haven't seen him in person for 9 years. We still FaceTime and text all the time. But we haven't seen each other in person for long ass time. And ft just doesn't feel the same.
       I leave next weekend. So I have to spend this entire week packing the rest of my stuff. Which isn't a lot. I already packed up clothes and stuff like that. Since I have a small room, I don't have a lot of furniture. Just my bed, a nightstand, tv stand, and my desk. 4 things and they're semi big. Not exactly small but not exactly huge.

Time skip; moving day !!

TODAYS THE DAY! I'm so fucking excited. All my stuff I packed. And the movers already took my furniture yesterday. So I slept in my sisters bed because she already has an apartment but her room is still up in my moms house. My room is currently filled with a couple of boxes because I don't have that much stuff. Growing up as the youngest you kind of get used to hand-me-downs. So I rarely get my own clothes. But I don't really mind because I get my moms old t shirts which are kinda cool. vInTagE, if u will.
        I packed all my boxes and bags in the back of my truck. I got it for my 16th birthday. My siblings made fun of me for wanting a truck but I think that a black F150 is badass. Especially with me in the drivers seat 😎.
        I say goodbye to my mom and stepdad and tell them that I'll visit them whenever I can. I say goodbye to the dogs too. I'll miss them the most 🤧. Jk hahaha.
        Well it's about an 11 and a half hour drive form Indiana to Minnesota so I better get driving. It's currently 9 am. And I woke up at like six so I'm blasting my playlist so I stay awake. I also have coffee to keep me awake. And I already know that these 11 hours are gonna go by fast slow as hell but lucky me I have about 800 songs in my library so I think I'm good haha.

*Hour 8*

It's now 5pm and I managed to go about 8 hours without stopping for anything but I really have to pee. So that's where I'm at right now. A bathroom.
       I saw a creepy guy from the corner of my eye while walking to and from the bathroom. He was in the same spot when I went in and when I came out. I didn't really care bcuz of how bad I had to pee.
        Once I was done, I got back in my car and continued driving. I FaceTimed Zack while driving cuz I got bored. He didn't answer. Rude. I don't blame him tho. He told that his sleep schedule has been all over the place especially with quarantine. So he's probably sleeping? He called me back about 5 minutes ago tho.
         "Hey" he says with somewhat enthusiasm.
         "Hey, did u just wake up?" I ask.
         "Hahahaha. I haven't even slept." He says while laughing.
         "Dude, wtf, go to sleep" I say while laughing.
         "How far are you?" He asks, ignoring me.
         "I  don't  know but I won't be there until another 3 hours I think" I say.
          "Oh darn" he says sarcastically while giggling.
           "Hahaha fuck off." I say while giggling too. "What're u doing right now?" I ask.
           "Nothing really.  Just hanging out with Alex. Alex wanna say hi?" He asks his little brother.
           "HI LEXI!" I hear in the background.
           "Hiiii !! I missed you Alex" I squeal.
           "I missed you too" he giggles.
           "Same here" Zack says.
           "Im still kind of far but I'll be there in a no time." I say to the boys
          "I got to go, love you byeee" I say.
          "Love you, byeee." The boys say in sync.
I love them so much. Zack and Alex are like brothers to me. They're family is basically my second family. His mom is like the mom I never knew I needed. She was way easier to talk to than my mom. Mainly cuz I never had a totally terrific  relationship with my mom. We never had a like a bad one but idk we just weren't as close as she is with my sister. So seeing Zack and his family is is gonna be great. I've been smiling like a goof the entire time thinking about them.
        2 hours left and I'm gonna blast Evanescence :).
