CHAPTER 1
ZELLA'S POV
“Zella, you're zoning out again, and it's starting to annoy me!” Cora said with her brows knitted.
She's talking about something, but my mind has been wandering. It has been a week since Troy works at the hospital again, but I've been trying to avoid running into him. I went somewhere else as soon as I heard through our interns that Troy was at the office. I'm not quite ready to face him.
Despite the reality that we split up about a year ago, I haven't entirely moved on. Even though our relationship was barely a year long, it was undoubtedly one of the greatest times of my life!
“Ano ba kasi 'yon?” Tanong ko sa kanya. Her irritated eyes rolled inwards.
“I was telling you that Jared's birthday is next week, on Monday, and I still have no idea what the best gift I can give.” She sighed. “Come on, help me!” she pleaded.
“Baby,” diretso kong sagot.
They've been married for a year, but they haven't had a child yet! Masyado silang busy sa kanya-kanya nilang trabaho. Excited pa naman akong maging Tita-Ninang na.
And, guess what? We're still sharing a house!
“No, we were planning to have our first child the following year,” aniya.
“Wow, look who's talking?
Savage as ever!
“I heard Troy's back,” usal muli ni Cora.
“I also heard he broke up with his gayfriend because he was still in love with his previous ex-girlfriend.”
“So, magiging marupok ka na naman just like what happened to your three ex-boyfriends?”
“H-Ha? N-No.”
