TROY'S POV

A new day brings a new opportunity to capture her heart.

Who would've guessed our patients were sharing the same room? Come on, fate is on my favor.

Zella has really an attractive appearance, especially when she smiles. Her beauty, after all, never fades. But it's not why I am madly love with her. Her, being a passionate woman with a generous heart made me love her deeply. Kaya alam kong tuluyan niya rin akong mapapatawad someday, and after that, we can start again.

'Pinagpalit mo siya sa bakla, kaya bakla rin ang papalit sa'yo.'

My lips lose their curve. That line irks me! But I'm confident that Zella would never fall in love with that gay, kasi kung oo edi sana matagal nang sila. But, see, it's been seven years, and they're still friends, and I guarantee they'll always be friends!

"Doc?"

I was back at my senses when Nurse Fatima speaks.

"Wala po ba kayong balak kunin 'tong records ng pasyente?" nakangiting tanong niya.

I forced a smile as I handed the patient's records. "Zella," I immediately called her before she could go.

"Yes, Doc?" She inquired, her voice was calm, but her eyes were frigid.

Does time really change her?

"May I have a few minutes with you later?"

I even gave her a polite expression, hoping that she'll say yes.

"I'm sorry, but I need to attend a meeting later. Please finish your work now, I'll head first."

Lumabas na rin siya agad matapos sabihin iyon.

I took a deep breath to calm myself down before I face my patient.

"Hi, are you feeling better now?" I inquired, and she simply nodded in response.

I attempted to concentrate on my work, but sh*t, Zella kept running in my head!

What else should I do just to get her attention again?

Isn't my effort effective?

Why does she continue to play hard to get?

Does she believe I'll give up easily?

That word does not appear in my lexicon.

She is the major motivation for my return to this hospital. I want to be loved by her again, to feel the happiness she brought me before, to have her back! So I'm not going to stop until I win her back.

ZELLA'S POV

"Miss Kate, palaki nang palaki ang butas sa puso niya, I suggest that she should be operated as soon as possible before it gets complicated. Baka kapag hindi pa siya na-operahan ngayon ay hindi niya na kakayanin sa susunod lalo na at ang bata-bata pa ni Kleah," malungkot kong sabi.

Miss Kate looked down. I could clearly feel her nervousness. I held her hand and smiled softly.

"If you're thinking about the expenses, it's all in me-"
