The year to move on
from a blasted past.
The year to set goals
for ourselves.
The year to bid fairwell
to an ex.
The year to take risks and
fulfil our dreams.
The year to burn old bridges.
The year to take a leap
of faith.
The year to create new
memories.
The year to search for
inner peace.
The year to burn the
toxic energy away
Nonetheless this year
we recieved tragedy,
antagonism, panic,
and so much loss.
This year we are truly
tested to see if we can
collaborate together, so
We do not fall apart.
This year ignites flames
for us to wake up and
implement a change.
This year will be the year
of perspective for us all.
