CHAPTER ONE :We are under attacked

As I walked through the market place in purchase of a sword, I ran into Jin a close friend of mine. He asked me what I was doing in the market. I pretended not to hear the question. "What were you saying"? Naah forget it. Jin was not really persistent about anything. As we waved each other while walking our separate ways, soldiers on horses ran passed us. It seemed they were heading to the palace. I wondered what could this be that, they did not recognize people standing as they passed by hurriedly.

When I reached home my dad looked very angry. Ae-cha do you know who broke my sword. I paused for a while (thinking of ignoring the question) but I felt guilty. Dad I broke your sword while fencing but I'm sorry. You shouldn't have taken it without my permission, He said angrily.

The next day I set off to Jin's house. He was practicing his archery when I got there. "Hey Ae-cha what brings you bye", he said.

" I just feel like visiting you to day ", I responded.

"So u miss your dad", I said.

"Yes I miss him a lot", Jin replied.

Look, there is something going on there let's go check it out, Jin said.

Palace Messenger : Announcement !! The King has declared war with our neighboring kingdom because the have been spotted attacking villages in the kingdom. As you already know, we are in a war already and most of the military personnel have been deployed there. So the king has ordered that at least one male in every family should participate in the war, the selected male will be trained and be taught all the battle formations.

After the announcement, Ae-cha went home to have dinner with her family. She told her father about what the King's messenger had said but her dad was not surprised because he knew a day like this would come. He sat her down to tell her what he meant
by that.

Ae-cha when I and my troops were deployed to suppress the rebels at the village which is at the outskirts of this kingdom. Our mission was successful, we were able to suppress the rebels but during our stay there, soldiers from our neighboring kingdom attacked the village. We tried to stop them but there many of them so my troop and I decided to come back home leaving the people unprotected.

Now I regret leaving them we should have at least try, now the is a war coming up so many lives are going to be killed and it is all my fault.

Now dad, the war is coming up, who is going to represent our family in the war. You know u are too sick to participate in the war, I said anxiously. Well we might have to explain this to the king.
