Chapter Five

"How about we play never have I ever?" Karis suggests as we head towards Kadi's living room.

"Yeah, that sounds like fun!" Becka responds grabbing pillows and blankets to throw on the ground so we could lay on them. The rest of us girls also help by grabbing the rest of the pillows and blankets. The rest of us girls also agree to play never have I ever. I put my bag in the corner and the other girls follow behind me and do the same.

"Hey, Kai do you want to play with us?" I ask Kai noticing him looking out of place. We usually let him join us because when we sleep over he just is kinda lonely...

"Sure thanks for offering!" Kai smiles and walks over to join us on the ground. Kai is like a big brother to me I have known him since Kindergarten. We met on the first day of school at recess because I was spending time with Kadi, who I had met earlier that day in class, and he had promised Kadi he would spend recess with her so the three of us played together and it was like that for the all of that year and a bit into first grade. Kai sits in between Kadi and me, next to Kadi is Karis, next to Karis is Becka, next to Becka is Caraline, next to Caraline is Ivanna, and Ivanna is next to me.

"So who's going first?" Kadi asks looking around at all of us.

"I'll go!" Karis volunteers. She sits there for a few minutes until "Never have I ever had a little sister." Kai and I both groan as we each put one of our fingers down.

"Alright, we will go clockwise so Becka it's your turn," I explain.

"Okay never have I ever kissed a girl," Becka says smirking at Kai who puts a finger down. Karis and I look at each other as we both put a finger down. "What?" Becka asks looking at us.

"Alright it was at a party and we got twenty dollars each so we agreed," I explain. I mean it isn't even that important like it wasn't my first kiss. "Alright anyway, it's your turn Caraline," I say looking at Caraline who looks bored.

"Never have I ever sent a picture of a shirtless guy to my friends," Caraline says without taking a moment to think. Karis and Becka laugh as they both put a finger down.

"Wait have you sent these pictures to Kadi?" Kai asks in his protective brother voice.

"Actually they have sent them to all of us in the group chat," I explain nonchalantly. Kai looks over at the girls.

"How dare you send those types of pictures to my little sister!" Kai freaks out at the two girls.

"Come on she's sixteen let her live a little! You're not ever her parent so like come on bro!" Karis says trying to reason with him.

"Fine, but if I find out you send more than just shirtless guys to my little sister then you're in trouble," Kai reasons still glaring at the two girls.

"Alright, Ivanna your turn!" I say changing the subject as fast as possible.

Ivanna sits there for a few seconds till she says, "Never have I ever cheated on a test." Kai puts a finger down along with Karis, Becka, and I. She looks at all of us in a way that can only be described as disappointing a caring parent.

"Well, it's my turn! Now let me think," I start and pause as I think. Alright, what haven't I done that I know someone else has done. "Never have I ever cut my hair," I say knowing that Karis, Caraline, and Becka have. The three girls all put a finger down. "Okay, it's your turn, Kai," I tell him while putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Never have I ever kissed a guy," he says after a couple of seconds. Karis, Ivanna, Caraline, Becka, and I all put a finger down. How does Kadi still have all her fingers up?
