"Can I please have a Vanilla Latte? " I asked the Starbucks barista.

After a few minutes of preparation, he handed me my drink and I headed out for the exit while drinking my usual.

Suddenly, out of no where, a figure came into my vision and before I had time to react, I crashed straight in to the person.

"Woah, I am so sorry. I wasn't looking where I was—"

I stopped dead in my sentence when I looked up and meet the stranger's eyes, he had the most adorable brown eyes I had ever seen.

The stranger smiled, "It's fine, I have an extra clothing in my car which I didn't expect I had to use in a situation," he pointed to his vanilla latte drenched shirt "like this, but oh well," and ended with a laugh. I laughed awkwardly back, as the whole accident was literally my fault.

We waved goodbye (don't ask why) and parted ways, me going to school and him going to who-knows-where.

It's sad though, knowing that I'll never be able to see that attractive stranger ever again.

I glanced at my watch and realized I still had a good 15 minutes before school starts, I started walking to school because I knew that my best friend, Kara would already be there, she's always been someone who enjoys studying but still loves going out partying. I don't get how we became friends or how she manages this but I ought to ask her someday.

"Hey Sky," Kara immediately hugs me and called me out by the nickname that I loathed. I mean, why would you call your best friend forever-and-ever-and-ever the fucking sky? What's this? Heaven and Earth?

"Hi Kara."

We've been friends since elementary school, we told each other all our secrets and slept over at each houses countless of times. We even still do it sometimes nowadays (shh).

"Ka, guess what happened today? I was at Starbucks today and I crashed into a really, really attractive guy. He had the cutest smile I've ever seen. Oh my God, I'll never see him again...I feel like dying. I swear, the world is—"

"Exactly how attractive is this guy? "

I arched an eyebrow at her.

"C'mon, it's not like I'll bang him. I don't even know him."

"That's not the problem, I'm trying to tell you how I'm dying over not seeing him again, and you only registered the word 'attractive'."

Kara giggled and said, "Aw, sorry Sky."

In all honesty, sometimes I really don'y get why Kara became my friend. I mean, it's not like I hate her or anything, she's a great person, it's just...we're like two totally opposite people —she's loud, funny, out-going, a wild party animal, pretty, a great ass tan, while as I, on the other hand, am too, loud, but more sarcastic, would rather stay at home then go to a dumb party and withdrawn.

So, yeah, a friendship between us can be hard, but Kara is quite...oblivious to her wrongdoings so I always have to push my temptation to lash out at her all the way down to the pits of hell, in case I explode and cause a hell load of trouble.

I shook my head, clearing all sorts of doubt of my friend and said,  "So, first day of senior year huh."

She nodded in agreement.

"Hey, I'll go ask for my new schedule from Ms Green. "

She nodded again before telling me that she would meet at my locker later and walked away and got swept away by the moving student population roaming the halls.
