"Brody, would you mind and take a sit next to Skylar. Skylar, please raise your hand so that Mr.Marksman knows where you are. "

He just had to sit beside me now, doesn't he.

I hesitantly raised my hand as Brody raises one eyebrow and starts walking to me.

Each step of his makes me have lesser time to plan an escape route out of the class as he comes nearer and nearer to me.

When he came and sat at the seat beside me, he whispered to me, "So, you're the latte spiller girl huh."

"So, you're the got latte spilled boy who doesn't know that he isn't suppose to talk during class huh," I said back without even looking at him.

I'm embarrassed enough at the café, I didn't need him to keep on rubbing it on my conscience, thank you very much.

He didn't reply back, which I found strange, guys like him always mock with a, "Ouch, princess" or "Ouch, sweetheart".

Maybe I've just been reading too much books, what do they call it? Fanfiction? Yeah, that.

I glanced at him and realised he was smirking at me.

"Nice," Brody mused.

I rolled my eyes and continued to look down at my notebook.

Silence filled the air between us, if you count Mr Piper's monotonous lecture at the front of the class as silence, which I do. I can barely hear anything, always only catching a earful of words that are not related to lessons.

"Waddaya doing?"

"Lecture notes, not that you would care."

"Ouch, princess."

THERE. THERE IT IS.

I ignored him, trying to block out any noise he made and focused on one of the many pages of my music book that were scribbled with verses and chords that I came up with at home and at school.

An idea popped up in my head and I was just about to jot it down when I saw a faint silhouette looming at the edge of my precious and private paper.

I sighed, "Don't even try to peek, I can see right through you."

"Aw."

"You sound like a donkey getting his arse kicked, shut up."

"Aww—"

"Mr Marksman! What do you think you're doing? "

I stifled a laugh as Brody looked lost.

"Um..I don't know? "

It came out more like a question than a statement from Brody' s mouth.

"And you, Ms Parker, I expected better discipline from you. "

"Sorry, Mr Piper. "

That was what I wanted to say, but it came out more like, "Sor—orry—pffft —Mr P— pffft—Piper."

The whole class, including Brody, looked at me like I had two heads.

Mr Piper shook his head at our behavior, as if saying kids these days, and said sternly, "I hope this doesn't happen again, understood? "

"Yes." Brody and I replied in sync.

I reached my second period which was Biology and guess the person sitting beside me talking like there's no tomorrow.
