- you run into jj on the streets of new york 5 years later-
they were both, mature and successful. neither of them expected it but they worked hard for it. especially y/n. she was the hardest worker. man she got what she wanted and if she didn't get what she wanted, y/n would fight for it and stand up for herself.

she was stubborn but smart at the same time. something jj admired very much, but what he admired the most was that y/n was a badass and strong but she could also be soft and caring at the same time. he absolutely loved that.

after she told him she was moving to new york 5 years ago, he was completely devastated. what hurt the most was that he was losing his best friend. they've been friends all their lives and it felt like he was losing apart of him.

when she left, he spent years searching for her, but he had no luck. at that point he gave up thinking that it wasn't ment to be.

y/n was a well known model. she'd always dreamed of being that and with her past life, she wanted one good thing to happen to her so she made it happen. y/n was the happiest she's ever been.

jj on the other hand was living with his cousin. he worked at a automotive shop uptown. (i made that up lmao) but he loved the change. the city was a good change of view for him, since he's lived in the outerbanks for all his life.

it was a cold winter rainy day. y/n was bundled up in a coat and leggings, with a beanie. jj, just a coat and shorts. his style never changed.

both were perhaps in central park. on a walk, trying to clear their heads. stress and responsibilities came with growing older. no more surfing all day and parties at night. they had bills to pay and rent.

y/n came upon the bridge, that over looked the city skyline. she stopped for a second to take it all in. the fog hung over the buildings cover the top vaguely.

she smiled and backed up getting ready to walk more until she hit something hard, making her stumble back a little. "i'm so sorry." she grabbed the scarf that the stranger dropped, handing it to him as she looked up.

her face softened as she realized who was in front of her. she was frozen in her place, not knowing what to do or say. "jj." she whispered softly. before she knew it, he engulfed her in a hug. she nuzzled her face in the crook of his neck taking in the scent she missed everyday.

his arms were wrapped tightly around her waist. jj was scared of letting go. he didn't wanna lose her again. he pulled away, looking her up and down. "you've changed so much y/n." he smiled. tears were brought to her eyes. she missed him more than anything.

it was hard making friends in a new city. especially finding real ones. he placed his hand on her cheek wiping away the one that fell. "i missed you." y/n spoke.

"i know." he smiled. she chuckled slightly. "i always loved your laugh. i missed it." that made her heart flutter. it gave her a weird feeling in her stomach.

she looked up, meeting his eyes. "d- do you wanna take a walk with me." she asked him nervously.  "of course i do." he smiled. they walked across the bridge, walking down the path of the green area. jj smoothly intertwined his hand with hers.

they were both incredibly happy and relieved to see each other. with jj, y/n felt like everything was gonna be fine. she felt warm and comfort. like he was going to protect her forever. no matter what comes to her plate, he would be with her.

with y/n, jj felt complete. he loved her. not in a friend way but as a lover. he truly thought she was his soulmate and meeting in the big city gave him reassurance once again.

if only it could stay that way...

-honestly i have no idea what this is. i hope y'all like it;))-
