Hey guys!
I wanted to just take a minute to talk about everything that's happening in the world at the moment. I know I don't really have a platform but for those few of you reading I felt as though I needed to share my thoughts on the disgusting behaviour that has once again caused protests in America.
As a Brit there's not much I can do, and with lockdown still technically underway here and health issues of those that I live with I haven't made the trip to a protest occurring over here, as much as I want to I am not willing to put my family at risk with COVID-19 still causing huge numbers of deaths here.
I'm not going to sit here and tell you you have to donate to organisations because I know it is difficult for some people to, you might not be in the financial situation to spare money or you might just be too young to do it. I do suggest that you look into the petitions that are there for you to sign, I'm sure by now you have signed these petitions. I've gone through as many as I can find. There are many, not just for George Floyd but for so many other victims of police brutality.
George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Terence Crutcher, Tamir Rice, Mike Brown, Freddie Gray, Philando Castille, Alton Sterling, Walter Scott. And this only names a few.

And if you dare counter that with 'all lives matter' check your fucking privilege and fuck off. Black lives matter more because they are in danger. You fear the police because you might actually get caught doing something illegal, you don't have to fear just being around a cop. People of colour don't get that privilege, but it shouldn't be a privilege.
I do recommend you watch American Son on Netflix, I watched it a long time ago and think that this is the issue is portrayed greatly in this (and yes, before you ask, I do know it is a broadway show but not so easy to watch that).
I'm sorry this isn't a chapter but I had to get this off my chest, I'm just so disgusted with the behaviour of some people and have spent a lot of time recently removing people from my social media because of what they have been saying about this incredibly serious issue.
